This really alleviated a lot of my fears for ME3. I was afraid it was going to end up being a Gears of War clone, especially with how the story components in the demo shaped up. However, it looks like it's going to be the galaxy spanning epic that ME1 promised. |

I'll just go with my ususal 'wait until it's on budget' strategy.
Let's say 20€ in about a year. I can wait. Have my budget titles from last year to keep me busy until then. At that point, the budget pack usually is identical to the deluxe-collectors-super-awesome-edition from launch and includes all those little bits you would have had to pay extra for. That, plus all the patches, bug fixes and balance adjustments. |

I was actually debating whether I'd preorder or buy SWTOR, but Datablitz won't start selling SWTOR 60-day cards until March-April, so I took the preorder and decided to play SWTOR when the 60 day passes start getting sold.
Also, Gold is a bitch. Whole team died in the 2 round. I guess no one expects a Nemesis army 2 waves in lol.

The only problem with that strategy is that no Mass Effect game before has come out in such an edition (discounting the release of 2 on the PS3, but since that was a special occasion, it's the exception, not the norm). Actually, most Bioware games tend to not have these post-releases...

For EA the budget line is called "EA classics", come in yellow standard cases for 10€ to 20€.
My own copy of ME2 is just that. Did the same thing for DragonAge:Origins (steam sale). Frankly, if I can get ep 2 of a triology on budget half a year before part 3 even comes out, I don't see any drawback. |

DLC is DLC.
I'm talking about all those various extras you can get on launch if you pre order, buy collectors edition etc depending how much money you want to shell out. Sometimes even codes you can get from buying other games. The budget version is usually identical to the best and most complete of all these options (minus any physical gooddies of course). |

^Thing is Bioware has never put out a complete collection of anything. Even on the eve of ME3, I was expecting some bundle deal for the ME2 DLCs, but no dice.
On the topic of Origin IDs, mine's Sneakin_Fox. But don't expect to find me playing anything except BF3 until the full game is out. |
