As for the prince being "dumb" bit. He just got outsmarted. Like Mohan said at the end, nobody would have ever thought the prince would put the ring on by himself but at that point in time, that was what the prince who has an impulse that makes him try and be above the diagonal would naturally do. The prince tells himself why he put the ring on. He planned to overthrow the dynasty and all that. He thought it'd be more fun that way. And given his personality, that was to be expected at that point.

But lo and behold he got totally jinxed. Really well played by the princess is all. I don't think she is necessarily smarter than the prince but she is just as smart at least. I think prince "lost" to her because of two reasons. First is that she had more information to begin with and second is that the Prince does it all for fun and thus has a haughty nature while she was doing it all with a specific goal in mind and was paying way more attention to detail than the prince. At the very least, she is an interesting enough woman to keep the prince occupied and perhaps even make him into a good King. The prince said it himself, the princess seriously rocks. A far cry from a "princess raised inside a glass box" haha.

Then again... baka ouji wins the coolest woman in the universe when he loses. Fucking lucky bastard -__-

I hope that it would be made into an extra episode in the BD/DVD. It is really good as an epilogue.

While I loved this arc I must say that the anime creators made some errors while adding new stuff this time around. They added Princesses flashback when she told of her youth with Ouji in episode 12, it was something only a true princess would know. Also the whole equation solving titbit there made her intelligence more apparent then it originally was supposed to be. Lastly there were those pictures of young ouji in the cockpit of her vehicle when she listened in on Ouji's conversation, no one could see her there so should have no need to act, plus only a true princes would be interested in the pictures of the Prince when he was younger. All those things made the final reveal far easier to predict then in the manga.

i forgot about the details in manga, but most scenes should be quite close, some added scenes are welcomed such as the spaceships and special effects that cannot be achieved in manga

however the manga is highly recommended too, they did not put the final chapter into the anime

btw I didn't notice at all that Princess Luna's seiyuu was not a pro but J-idol Syokotan

at the beginning. well, possibly she's a semipro already though.

This was the most surprising (in a good way) show of the season for me. How does a series this like this even get made nowadays? I can't imagine it has much sales potential in today's market.

Maybe because Togashi is a genius and his other work (Hunter x Hunter and Yuu Yuu Hakusho) were big hits?

As for the final episode, IMO it was the best of all as was the whole arc with wedding.

I'm just going to invalidate all that and say "no."

Watched the whole entire series without ever reading the manga, never saw the final twist coming, and that was why the series was so good. All of those clues you say fit in retrospect, but for someone who had no idea what to expect, then it was perfect. We assumed she was the real princess, and then we find out she wasn't the real princess and before we could think any further, BAM baka ouji has been duped, it's all over.

Especially loved how the Prince, after many episodes of fooling around with others, actually got outwitted for once. Can't end the anime without that. Overall, a good 10/10. I enjoyed every week/episode of this anime, and it was such a wonderful breath of fresh air from the usual "Moe" and "Fanservice" anime. For once, major focus on males and the females take a big backseat. How many anime these days do that? IMO, the Color Rangers Arc was a waste, it'd have been better if we the side characters got more screen time and more development, cuz they're funny as hell, especially the baseball player. At least, I'm not disappointed for watching Level-E for 13 weeks, the twists in this show were so good, the chemistry between Prince Baka and Craft were hilarious. The princess is definitely a bit of a psycho, and as such, is the perfect partner for the prince. It was delightful to see the Prince outwitted for once. It's just too bad that once again, the one who suffered the most out of the whole process was Craft And he's going to suffer a lot more for years to come. Poor Guy. This anime had its ups and downs but it was amazing overall. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared to the usual stuff. Without a doubt my second favorite winter series (may take first place depending on how the other series ends). It looks like the final chapter of the manga didn't make it into the anime. Gonna read it now. __________________

klare Senior Member Join Date: May 2009	Spoiler for eps 13 end: the Prince finally gets it for once, he was totally outwitted by a person that he thought was boring the final scene after the ED indicated the Princess was in earth when the Prince first jumped down, she already started plotting at that time... we cannot imagine the life of those who serve under this couple of planner/plotter/schemer a good series with a nice ending, gets a 9/10 from me __________________
