Anything but an insect, frog, slug, snake, dog, monkey, spider, turtle, weasel, and any summon you saw during the filler arcs.

According to AniDB, it's an usual 20 minute episode. TV Tokyo's website doesn't say anything at all, so we will know for certain when the episode airs.

While there is no direct mention of its existance in the Manga, the sign in his forehead protector appeared in a filler Anime episode, that symbol belongs to Takigakure or Village of the Waterfall.

So, we could say, Kakuuzu was from the Hiden Village of Waterfall.

The Waterfall village wasn't seen in a normal filler episode (as far as I remember), but in the 2004 Jump Festa. It's a beautiful village (the scenery was amazing in this JF), but it's very small and has very few shinobis. They have some special water that increase tenfold their chakra, but kill them on the long run.

Well it was a Jump festa episode I was recalling , but for me, Jump festa and fillers inside the usual airing episodes are the same thing…

I just checked that, We can see the village symbols and the number of shinobis on the map, but Kabuto doesn't comment on it and doesn't name any village (only the rain villagers as being short tempered a few pages ago when he did greet the Rookie 9 and the Village of Sound after being attacked by Dosu) since Sasuke immediately asks personnal informations.

what kind of powers does tobi have? is it directly stated? I don't remember him doing anything special, just something like imortality.

there was no need for him at the time. Kishi probably wanted it to be a "all mighty uchiha eyes and saskue's hate and lust for power" makes him turn away and loose his ties. This arc also shows how powerfull saskue is and how far naruto needs to go. shino wasn't neccesary to prove the point kishi was trying to make.

Yep. The manga answer was that Shino was helping his dad on a mission.

The actual answer was that Kishimoto already had the characters he wanted to develop in the arc. Shino is the least important of the male genin so he got left out.
