I don’t know, really Cypha and the Hückebein seem to be use to get away with their plans… most of the time. They kill people, attack TSAB officers, kidnap Thoma and in the end the only thing that prevents them from whining is themselves. They let go Thoma, didn’t send reinforcements for Cypha when she was fighting the Grendel and for some reason didn’t use Fortis to stop the alarms when then break in to Hardis prison even when we already see the guy did that when they attack Vandin.

Second, they made it to Hardis without being noticed, that`s rather impressive... Or lame security. They were blasting holes in the prison, I don`t think they cared about the alarms at that point.

And so far while her level of skill is still debatable (Cypha gloats about how great of a fighter she is but so far the only thing i had seen her doing is exploiting the brokeness of her powerset again and again contrary to Curren and Veyron who have displayed an awesome level of skill on their fights xDU), Cypha manages to remain a threat during most of the story, she manages to stall Fate who is the S6 mage with the best upgrade and a stronger fighter than Signum, fights alone against Mount Everest scoring some decent hits and beats the living daylights out of Quinn who has previously shown to be able to wipe out the Forwards/P-Team almost all by herself. She achieved all of that trough skill? Don't think so (Fate manages to score a good number of cuts on Cypha's skin, Moun Everest was an inert mass of ice and she exploited her super toughness and knowledge of EC-energy to deal with Quinn's abilties ...oh yeah and received some bad cuts from an injured knight going trough medical treatement xDU). But it doesn't matter since she's strong enough to beat people trough raw power alone. The irony is that Cypha indeed jobbed for Signum more or less in-universe which was revealed on Ch. 25 during her chat with Sonica xD

Then why they didn't let SD6 keep Hardis?
They are doing a fine job with the Grendel. I mean how they notice they escape but wait until they were on the water allowing them to cause property damage and not really keep a good eye on them... I am starting to notice a patron here.

It could be, uh, a trap? Since they know he's related to the Huckebein in some way, and they'd be far less likely to attack a fortified location. The guards not being prepared is to make them think their presence is unexpected.
Hayate is supposed to be smart, so for once she's showing it. Simple enough. |

From what little I know of Force, what I do remember is the AEC weapons haven't hit mass-production yet, and even if they did, they need to be properly trained in their usage first.

If it was a trap is sure doesn’t look like one, sending just 3 agents, not having any kind of cameras and Hardis revealing all his superpowers… Doesn’t feel like it. Could be one, and point if they really think that far but without evidence the theory has many holes and the worse being the stupidity the TSAB seems to show from time to time.

Actually yes, so far she doesn't seem to be particularly smart. Not anyone on the SD6 seems to be a genius of any kind. I mean they are not idiots, most of them, and they are experts on their fields but nobody seems to be good when it comes down to use the brain instead of muscles, at least not in a way I can say is impressive.

This has nothing to do with Hayate`s smart.
I just don`t see why someone would say this fight between Curren and Hardis was a trap set by Hayate... Explain it to me, please ! If anything, it`s thanks to Hardis that Fate actually got there in time since he was the one who made the hole in which they entered and stalled Curren by talking to her since she was leaving. Maybe, it`s more Hardis trap.

It'll probably make more sense when it becomes translated. And it's the only reason I can think of for him being in the middle of nowhere when they have a base right there to use.
Maybe Hardis realized it and decided to play along? The Hucks are a problem for him too, so that's fair enough. |
