Unlikely. Her intention is to restore her world. Her method of doing so is by destroying Akane's world. well I had a classmate like that (similar hmmm....size)in the 6th grade & another one from 7-10th grade when I changed school. It's more of a liability to them than not. I can definitely see it was no fun for them. My 6th grade classmate, got constantly hit upon by one of our teachers such a creepy guy, and so we hardly get to learn anything in school cause every other minute he'll be ogling her... Ah was so young and introvert then, didn't know what to do much. That other classmate, well situations better with the teachers since it's a better school, but still she's always awkward and feeling self conscious. And being a guy I knew how most of the other guys think and act ....a lot times she ends up crying.

good thing about it though is that the problem solved itself once the other girls started growing too... and the guys started maturing... a little.

oops sorry got OT and long a bit, just wanted to say something like that for someone so young can't be all fun.

All this time I thought that this speak of "worlds" in relation to Rei was merely keeping the discussion vague, so I felt I wasn't very spoiled coming into this week's episode. Only it turns out that "worlds" are exactly what's going on here. Rei is very much a Maaya Uchida character - all her major roles I can think of (except for Mao) have a bit of a tragic past and family problems that make them tough to get through, but Akane's just the kind of person who can do that. Also - birds as messengers of doom. First Ruri, then Mea and now here. I do wonder if it's in the cards for Rei to get a Vivid power of her own, but it sounds like she doesn't want anything to do with the Engine in the first place. Maybe it's a secondary power hidden in her key? After all, emotions are a valuable force in the world of magical girls.

Certainly a plight for Rei though. Certainly can see why she's gone down this route. Destroying the engine would cause untold problems for a world reliant on it, but frankly if it means getting back everyone she's ever known...it's a small price to pay. Of course that only comes into play if the Crow isn't full of it.

Can kind of see it going two ways for Rei. Either the Crow is full of it and there is no hope or they can find another way to restore Rei's world.

Though I'm more hoping to see Figma versions of the Docking forms i.e. VividBlue, VividGreen, VividYellow and the eventual VividRed. They're just custom-made for Figmas already!

VividPurple will just have to use the arrow of love/friendship/hope to solve anything.

I seriously doubt it's gonna be the first one. That would be too insane of a tonal shift.

Reirei's being compared to a lot of characters (Fate and Homura being the top ones), but right now she's also reminding me of Cure Sword. Then again, I've been comparing Mana and Rikka to Akane and Aoi as well.

I'm impressed by the detail on the MP5 and the USP (which is most likely a USP9 for logistics simplification); the MP5 appears to be the Navynvariant with the folding stock and...

...sorry, it seems I got distracted away from the guns.

Decent episode. It's only a matter of time before Rei gives in.

The impression I get is that they're from the same world, and crow's promise is that if this world is destoryed, a new world can be made, where Rei's parents are alive.

It's like burning down a tropical rainforest to plant oil palm.

In both translations I've seen, the crow told Rei in her flashbacks that her entire world was destroyed by the Engine going out of control. This isn't a minor case of Rei's parents being killed in an accident. It appears that Rei's entire world is gone.

The limited Edition has the CD with the first ED, plus two character songs (Akane and Aoi), there's a booklet (I wonder how can this be considered an extra?), a "Special Pinup", and an event ticket (not that I can use it, though). Standard features are the audio commentary and the creditless OP/ED. there's enough for me (and it's unusual) for me to preorder.

Hey, I was just using the terms someone else stated. Take it up with them.

I just find it amusing that, for the girl who seems to be the one pushing all the friendships forward, she's always on the bottom when it comes to the docking.
