More than anything, Owarimonogatari is about a big part of Koyomi Araragi past, Sodachi Oikura being but a trigger. Also, Sodachi Oikura is the closest that Araragi has to a Psycho Ex.....

Pretty interesting episode.

We find out more about Araragi's past in connection with Oikura. And regarding that, we learn about her developing hate for him.
I still find Ougi to be one of the most interesting characters of the season though just because of her personality. The word plays were fantastically done this episode too.

And lol, James Bond reference.

Sodachi Oikura is the Psycho Ex that you tried and sucessfully forgot but then shows up in your life and picks a fight with your girlfriend and bitchslaps her. Cat fight ensues and then she claims to despise you as if you killed her parents.

Damn, for an episode that took place in an attic for 99% of the time, it was pretty awesome. Ougi's sleuthzzzing and deducing is always fun to watch. But I'm tired of Araragi calling himself a fool. We get it.

Hanekawa is kinda that too. And at least Oikura never tried to actually murder him. So far. That we know of.

I think Oikura is more like the forgotten osananajimi actually...

Lol at Yotsugi's cutscene when fairy of mathematics was cued.

It's becoming more and more apparent Ougi knows more about Araragi than he knows himself. She must be some sort of physical manifestation of his subconscious. Anyway, she's really great.

Que Ougi's "I don't know anything. It's what you know, Araragi-senpai."

Best is still Hanekawa's catch phrase though.

Dunno if there's similar idiom in English but in Russian we have "Skeletons in the closet" meaning "dark secret from the past". And, you know, after this ep. I think that Sodachi could have an actual skeleton in the closet not just literary one.

I think it began with the sequence of "mathemagics". Hell, the song itself sounds like a geeky Bond theme song.

I look at the patterns and I wonder.
Twice Oikura has counted on Araragi and twice he let her down. Although, if they're correct about why she invited him over for maths, and the question of how did she know his parents were cops, is there a third time even further in the past?
And looking to the future, does she need help and is Araragi going to let her down again?

I don't buy Sodachi's reasons to hate Koyomi, especially since she's so notorious for seeing people for their worth. An inconsiderate person like her won't be able to be happy if she continues to push her standards onto others.

To be fair, the Philippines has the concept of "utang na loob" (being indebted to repay the goodwill of others), but it never should be enforced, even if it is a social obligation of sorts.

Well, I don't think Filipinos (me included) would understand the intricate maze that is Japanese Social Attitude 101. We are talking about a culture here that openly encourages lying to keep the social construct, but highly values transparency and honesty of high position / highly responsible officials (to rather ... extreme degrees).

Honestly, the mere fact that he forgot their past was already painful enough, but to get socially betrayed due to "a decision he made"? Especially to someone who doesn't have any other friends, that hurts a lot than most people realize. This is coming from someone who values their few friends.

PS: Yes, I posted this 1:30 AM. :v
