From EP3 TIPS:
07151129。
Small Ougonkyou is opened if it recites.

Mystery number is revealed in EP4, but besides it may also be significant.(+o+)

07151129

Rei na higo ii tsuku
Rei na higoi itsuku

Shiz like that?

It might also have something to do with some sort of math puzzle or Roman letters that correspond to the numbers.
In the japanese forums "ii niku" was often suggested as a way to read 1129. Which basically means "good meat".

Anyway this kind of reasoning never lead to anything.
The same apply for
geographic coordinates
dates
conversion to letters
conversion in hexadecimal or other systems
magic square or matrix
hours 07:15 - 11:29

Ryukishi in an interview said that this number is a very cruel riddle. He said the same about the epitaph, however in the case of the epitaph we have at least some infos.

that's true, lol (first time I heard that one, btw).

1129 is kanon's birthdate (devil's proof).

Not in red, I mean she does not even know his real name. Still, I prefer the theory that i points to battler, birthday + age.

It isn't her fault that he didn't want to tell her and the time he wanted he died xDD

Well the number could mean anything the date was just something Battler come up with. But why wrtieng dates down on a door? For what do people use dates(birthdays and such) anyway?

In retrospect I think the answer to this question is blatantly obvious.

But the problem is... even if you know this is a date, what exactly do you gain from such a knowledge?
And that is the main reason I didn't really waste too much time speculating about this number.

The only way it can be remotely useful is if it's somehow related to the epitpah, in case this is a key or a code.

Which would fit the sentence that the epitaph is a riddle made lin a "childish" way. But why would the key to epitaph appear after the epitaph was solved.

I know that I don't use dates for anything

I just typed 0715 in Google and on the second page, there was a Youtube video--Japanese--called 0715 in which some BDSM scenario was playing out, where a woman was licking someone else's feet. I thought it was gross and it most likely has no bearing on the riddle, but I was reminded to how Beato made people lick her feet, as well.

i tried searching November 29 year 715 and I got a webpage by NASA about a solar eclipse that took place that day. they have a map showing the path and if you follow the start point and go straight north-west you end up at the Izu islands around Niijima. Also, if you follow the end point north-east you end up hitting Northern Angola about around the village of Capulo, which is north of the city Luanda.
here is a link http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEsearc...?Ecl=-07151129
also if you look at the site address it says "07151129" at the end.

the above might not be important but it is very interesting

EDIT:

I think the eclipse might be pointing to the approximate location of When They Cry 5 and 6. its like the path of the solar eclipse is pointing from Rokkenjima to Central Africa.

That's a very funny thing you have found, but technically that's -715 not 715. It corresponds to 716 BC.

Also it's kinda a stretch to say it points to the izu island. The eclipse itself is far from that area, and since it's a curve is it really allright to continue in a straight line from the eastern tip?

Didn't Kyrie mention that she had a stillborn child? Perhaps that day was November 29th of the same year of Battler's birth.

Maybe Kyrie wrote it?

The anime didn't mention (for whatever reason) that Kyrie and Asumu were due to deliver on the same day.

I also thought along the same lines.

But I guess since Ryukishi said that this is a nasty riddle, it mightn't be so simple..

You're right.

"...As fate would have it, our delivery dates were on the same day." (VN EP3)

Maybe November 29th is the day that Asumu died, the day when she learned that she can possibly get together with Rudolf again. Note the emphasis on envy.

But then again, if it were true, that wouldn't be useful information, would it?

But Battler would have noticed it almost immediately.

Not necessarily, but...

Or maybe it's the day that Battler declared himself not-an-Ushiromiya.

I could list a million obscure dates. This is no good.

Is it really worth wracking your mind over something Ryukishi himself stated was VERY tricky with only one piece of information to go from? =p

It's obvious it has some importance but I'd wait till we get some more information on it before making guesses on what it could mean. *nod nod*
