yeah but in the cover she is the most in the background which as a rule indicate the character being rather unimportant compared to those who are up in the front. So I am skeptical if we will see her role being one of the main love interests as well, but more like a supporting character.

I can already see where this is going (read: drama and "misunderstanding")
I can see why some will find this rage inducing

but I'm sick of that formula, frankly

Well, we'll find out eventually I suppose. I do hope that the plot starts to speed up soon though, since this is a bimonthly manga.

Is Loveplus Kanojo no Kako included in the 5 series? It is some sort of a prequel to Rinko days.

Wow I'm happy that I'm not the only one who thought that. I was thinking that he really can't do a manga without there being some love triangle and misunderstandings.

Misunderstanding is part of life! And it makes for good drama. The only question is what kind of misunderstanding. Seo's haven't been that bad, I have seen much, much worse.

It's Rinko. It's part of their marketing

I meant in the characters. Out protagonist is showing no signs of romantic feelings to any girl yet. He is merely being friendly.

Yeah, his feelings aren't concrete yet. But what is certain is Aikawa had no obligation to try and help Rinko. He probably did it because he's generally a decent guy and he didn't like people instantly dismissing Rinko or gossiping about her. However, that did create my favourite moment of that first chapter:

Their opposite personalities also make a good combination, as well as some common experiences. And the link between the two is a bit coarser than the norm for a romance.

It's a real bummer that Nene and Manaka's series are so bad. I don't know if Seo will be introducing Nene at all, but I hope he does at some point. From what I can tell and have heard, I think I would like her character.

I haven't the slightest. There are so many factors that must go into such a decision too. It may even be a lowest bidder type deal or they may have asked other people and they had declined. Who knows.

Seo's art is amazing, I'm not dissing that. He just has the amazing ability to make every other girl except the main love interest the most likable unless there's literally no other option like Half-And-Half.

Kimi is definitely iffy right now. But I am still enjoying it and am confident it will regain it's former glory.

And I think we should stop discussing non-Love Plus material since it is against the rules and they have been cracking down recently. We can continue this in the Kimi no Iru Machi thread if you want.

I think he does that because one of his themes is unconditional love. No matter how bad the main girl is, the protagonist will always love her. It should be interesting to see what he does with Rinko, whether or not he will make her a very flawed character. I know very little about her from the games, so yeah.

Aikawa is optimistic, friendly, easy-going and is able to see both sides of people. Rinko's hard to get nature is delicious - it's insatiably cute how she's being somewhat cold, but anyone with a clue knows that Rinko does like Aikawa somewhat. Also, they both know what it's like to be alone. Aikawa is living solo while Rinko is surrounded by a terrible family. There isn't much hope or motivation for Rinko until she meets Aikawa. The fact that someone actually cares about her is making her start to care about herself once more. It's a hard road for Aikawa - he didn't choose to associate with a cutie or someone easy. He chose to hang out with Rinko. It'll be interesting to see how this changes the two of them. Particularly since Manaka appears in the 2nd chapter - can only imagine what that would make Rinko say. XD The connection between the two is probably more established on Rinko's side, even though she'd never admit it, but that's key to her character/attraction. Wonder what will trigger things to go up a couple of levels. The tension between the two is electric - you just wonder whether you could tolerate it yourself, yet you can't stop finding Aikawa's trials somewhat amusing yet somewhat sweet. Hope to see the 2nd chapter soon. __________________
