What a crap, so much Titts for nothing, maybe the first dropp of the new season by my side? We will see, i give it 1 or 2 Episode, if its then always be this shit, the i will dropp it

God, so many POINTLESS spoilers in the OP(those who are up-to-date with the manga knows what happen latest chap) >=0[, even some I was unaware of. Anyway I LOVE the OP song and the ambiance it gives the outlook of the show, but I hope that the fight sequences in the actual show aren't as...lackluster as the ones in the OP, esp since shows usually make the battles in OPs superb.

Anyway, I see that the art style of the novel really does fit better for the adaptation. Personally, I like the art style of the CA manga better than the novels, but I feel that it'd look a bit too childish in animated form.

All-in-all, a great start to the series. I thought Hero was a bit too spastic, but otherwise a wonderful performance from the cast. I'll be looking forward to seeing some of the action sequences in the future =03.

Found it a bit funny. Maou is cute. So basically most of what the hero knows has been fabricated to make money and help out the kings save their countries, while killing the innocent. So the maou and hero are going to stop all that. Nothing really stood out for me though. Might be funny to keep watching the hero's and maou's interactions.

Is it Nana Mizuki??

On another note, when the first time i heard hero's voice, i immediately think of "Dark Flame Master". Good thing Yuuta, now you can live up your Chuu2byou in Maoyuu...

great first episode. It did better in my book story wise and explanation wise than the manga and I also like the animation. It really fit with the story.

We're not sure yet whether her theory is even accurate yet, so that might actually end up being a plot point, a bit of conventional wisdom (in a story that takes place way, way before the 19th century) being proven wrong.

I really enjoyed the first episode. With this it feels like the Winter 2013 season has truly begun since this is the first debut of a series I'm following... well, minus Yama no Susume, but that episode was over almost before I could blink. The hero was of course pretty generic but he strikes a nice chord of familiarity and nostalgia since he harkens back to NES-era Dragon Quest heroes, and the Demon King/Queen is a very charming character whose constant Gainaxing was much appreciated.

I thought it was a pretty solid first episode. Sets up the world and the conflict facing the main characters. Figuring a way to end the war without everything falling apart as a result.

I agree, nothing to feel guilty about here. A bit of fanservice hardly brings the show down to guilty pleasure status.

Maybe I was a bit harsh since I did actually appreciate the world building, but in all honesty I couldn't help but think the show's bigger focus (lol) was the moe romance, which does have a guilty pleasure feel to it.

Ep 1 - well, that escalated quickly.....

I dunno, I can tell the show wants to be very clever and snappy, but this episode was just way too fast and hilariously anvilicious about obvious things. And then the romance, er, okay.

On the other hand, it looks reasonably pretty and the Demon King is reasonably cute. (Those boobs, though. They could at least make them swing and bounce a little less, she must be seriously uncomfortable.)

I think I'll give the show the benefit of doubt and assume it was just a case of first-episode attempt to get the exposition out of the way.

Not that I expected much, but the direction definitely was not what I expected. Though then you have the randomly inserted fanservice. Then you have Fukuen saying "Ultra Happy" (yeah...) and Makoto (been a while!) I don't know. It partially looks interesting, but the politics only make me grimace. The very "fulfilling" cast is ominous (too many voice actors -> voice actor-main anime, it happens). And while their haven't been any new anime to watch this season, this happens to air on the same day as Jojo. Overall, I guess I'll see the rest of the season and how I feel next week, but I'll probably drop this.
