This episode outdid episode 2 in terms of comedy.
Yui and Ritsu hijacked most of the episode, though Mugi made a few successful attempts at disrupting the flow. Fear her pillow-throwing arm of doom! I expected the 'Ui with hair down' scene. How many people thought it was actually Yui? And both Mio and Sawako got dragged into the others' antics. I think Mio eventually figured it was useless to fight it and that letting loose for a bit was the best thing to do. |

Well I got trolled at the start. I thought she finally has a sense of urgent responsibility. It was all a lie.
Goddammit. Nice little diversion I guess. Personally not as good as the previous episodes though I did like it going into the end, as a means of good band bonding. The next episode(s?) looks like it'll focus on the 3 sophomores left behind, which is generally a good thing since it's about time the series gave some time for the other characters aside from the core 4. |

On a side-note, does anyone know if Mugi indeed spoke in kansai-ben at some point, like I suspect she did? |

Kyoto dialect is a bit different from Osaka dialect. Just a bit, but people in Kyoto insist that Kyoto dialect is more decent than Osaka's. Once Kyoto was the capital of Japan, so Kyotoneans think we are the best. Shizuru of My-HiME speaks Kyoto dialect, too. |

It was during the second time I went through that scene before I figured out the "joke". |

Evaluation of Episode 4
This episode is "7 out of 10 : Good"
Unfortunately I don't know any tourist attaractions in Japan,so I can't partly understand what Yui and Mio...etc say. However, I figure out how much they enjoy thier school trip. I guess Japanese audience is reminded of thier adolescence and burst into tears. I am also glad that Mugi is given precious opportunities to stand out. She looks 10 times as pretty as ever.

Another fun episode. Between Ritsu and Yui's antics, Mugi's continued exploration of "normal" world things, Mio trying desperately to be the mature one (and failing) and Sawa-chan trying desperately to be the sweet, respectable teacher (and also failing) I couldn't help but laugh through almost the entire episode. 9/10 for me easily.
Next week should be interesting with Ui and Azusa being in the spotlight for most of the episode. Maybe Azusa will want someone to practice with and find out that guitar seems to run in the Hirasawa family?
