The show is based on a manga by Koge Donbo that is serialized in Nakayoshi. The director for the series is going to be Annou Takashi. Shinohara Kenji is the Character Designer and the series composition will be done by Kakihara Yuuko. The synopsis in the following is taken from AniDB:

Kamichama Karin is about a 7th grader named Karin Hanazono. Her parents and beloved cat, Shi-chan recently died, she`s getting horrible grades and is forced to live with her aunt. One day, Karin meets a young, orphaned, 7th grade boy named Kazune Kujyou, and discovers that her mother`s ring has the power to transform her into a goddess. She soon moves in with Kazune and his cousin Himeka. She and Kazune, who has godlike powers of his own, have to fight to protect Karin`s ring and Himeka from the evil intentions of Kirio Karasuma (whom Karin calls Mr. Glasses Man), who is also divine. The trio embark on crazy adventures and go on trips along the way. They also meet new friends and people, such as Micchi, who may know a lot of information not only about the divine transformation of the gods and goddesses, but also about Kazune-kun`s long lost father...

I'm so hyped for this I'm sure it will be good. I was kind of let down by the mamotte lolipop anime.

Yay! Satelight is the production company. I presume we could expect good animation regardless if the series has anything/nothing to do with action. I've become a fan of Satelight after savoring Heat Guy J, and then later, Sousei no Aquarion. Geneshaft was pretty good as well. Oh and, don't want to forget about Hellsing OVA. Kamichama Karin should be quite tamed of a series compared to all of those action packed series. Should be an interesting experience.

I'm so psyched...I got into the KKarin series four years ago when I went to Japan and discovered the adorable manga when I randomly picked up a Nakayoshi magazine~

...so this is what it feels like when your favorite ongoing manga is about to become an anime....

I REALLY wish they'd update the anime page so I can see what Kazune-kun looks like!!

btw I talked to someone in a slightly dead fansubbing group that I help translate for and he's pulling people together for this project at my demand. xD

Hey Awesome, I'll get to hear the Code Geass/Rozen Maiden opening again.

Also I like the genre, Cute Girl in A White Lace Outfit, and how it trumps the Fantasy Aspect.

I'm also excited about this. I'm a big Kogo-Donbo fan, not just b/c the character designs are so cute, but also b/c she usually gives them such wierd personalities. Like Dejiko--cute as a button, but selfish, egotistical, abusive and obtuse. Makes me laugh.
I've only read a couple of the 6 volumes I have on my shelf so far...I've been so busy...
