Router... need help

Hello everyone. Am looking for a special type of router. One that can be control the time of use. Like a timer. You can control de time of use in the internet and also can have some type of control over what can be used or not. And if possible one that you could control the radius.

Thanks for any help and information
^_^

If you don't mind flashing then I suggest anything that supports DD-WRT does all that you want* and a lot more. Also you can limit the amount of connections and the time outs to stop the router freeze issue that happens.

*Well it can't control the radius, I guess you need something that will drop the wireless power based on time (it is possible theoretically as with DD-WRT since you can run commands you might be able to get a script to drop the power at certain times.

*EDIT*
And I should check before shooting my mouth off. You can actually control the power level of the wireless from the web interface. You can also get it to schedule when to turn it on and off!

You're just, like, my most favorite person at the moment. Thanks a lot for this

If you wish to have the router on only at a certain time, it might be cheaper and less hassle to plug your current one into a timer (like the ones ppl use to switch on lamps at night time).

But if you want to restrict PCs from accessing the internet then DD-WRT allows you to create 10 policies to restrict based on:

Days
Times
Blocked Services
Website Blocking by URL Address
Website Blocking by Keyword

And these policies can be enforced on IP address, IP range or even MAC address.
