Manga "Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai" (Ao-chan Can’t Study!) is getting a TV anime. Studio is Silver Link.

Plot

First episode wasn't too bad. Ao is pretty likable overall and get where she's coming from. Kijima seems like a decent guy as well.

Ao's father...should probably be run over by a bus. That guy is going to be the test. Either enjoy the comedy surrounding him or he'll just kill the series.

A romcom with a female protagonist. And it doesn't seem to be a reverse harem too, as the love interest is only Kijima.

Hmm... I mean, it was okay fun. Kaiba's character is pretty annoying though. It doesn't help that he is as small as a baby despite not looking so.
I can only imagine he exists just to cause incidents (unrealistically so too) to happen in the story.
...Let's just say, they made a good choice to only do 12 minutes...

The last show I watched with a female protag was Dame X Prince Anime Caravan, and boy was that fun to watch. Now Ao-chan will be the next female MC anime with such an MC that I'll like.

This was a MUCH better episode that actually had me laughing out loud in certain moments.
I think it's down to the fact that Father isn't doing what he was doing last episode which was stupid. This time most of the shenanigans is pretty much on Ao-chan and her filthy filthy mind

Urgh, Takumi is definitely in the wrong here.

She's not his girlfriend. He confessed to her and she rejected him straight away. Then he said something like "give me a chance" or whatever right?

So yeah, she doesn't goddamn like him. He's supposing to be chasing her and trying to get her to like him.

Teens being stupid teens.

This episode was kinda a letdown. It was less amusing than the last ones. I guess they had to stick in a dedicated romance one in there.

What the hell is with this "random thing" in plastic bag in the bath tub? Is that actually a THING? Think it was books in that crappy romcom from last season now phones. How much time do they even spend in the tub, 6h?

Anyway, uhm about the show itself, its very bland... not sure what to say other then that. I agree that the short episode thing is the best thing about it. A really pity, the premise was promising, but they went for the most boring of routes. The male lead is just a total mood killer, super cliche, adds little to nothing. Jokes just dont have any spark to them since they revolve around the same boring interaction with the male lead over and over. Good premise, poor writing.

Boyfriend seemed quite entitled and unsympathetic to me, his line 'I could be a playboy if I wanted to' in an early episode finished the show off for me.
