They have the nomad, which is like the new Science Vessel, although we still don't know much about that yet etiher =/
But if the sensor tower is going to be the only Terran building detector, than I can see the drawback being a massive problem as what Demongod86 has mentioned. Perhaps the upgraded version of the sensor tower (radar tower was it?) doesn't have this drawback? Anywayz just something i stumbled upon and found quite amusing XD: (I don't know how to embed links so yea... lol =P) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9SQ7tuLrXI Last edited by brocko; 2007-10-27 at 18:17. That was great. Thor being removed, maybe? I really hope it is. It's really got no role at all in the Terran army. Not to mention, its supposed weakness of being unable to turn fast is pretty stupid... no decent Terran player is going to be using Thors without backup D: |

^ lol, no prob. I couldn't stop cracking up when i first saw the vid roffles! XD
But I really hope that the Thor isn't going to get axed somewhere down the line. I kinda like the concept of a unit being built with SCV's outside of the factory. |

Frankly I don't really give a damn about multiplayer as I do about single player, for the reason that by the time SC2 comes out, I'll have a job and hopefully a girlfriend on whom to spend my time on.
That said, the single player story of starcraft was nothing short of fantastic, though by the end it was getting a bit out of hand with all of the higher-power interplay between Kerrigan, Zeratul, and Duran. I loved the first terran campaigns the most storywise, since it was about regular human stuff not about saving the universe. To that extent, I hope that there is going to be a terran campaign to de-infest Kerrigan, since she essentially carried the plot for five out of six campaigns (all except the first protoss), and I hope to see the new hero ghost unit, and who better than Kerrigan to show it off (well, perhaps Nova =O).

Quaint update for Protoss Observer on official site.
Nothing new as far as I can tell, looks cool though.

Hmmm, not too sure about sc2...
I've been playing sc for quite a while now and once i found out about starcraft 2... Well,in my opinion, it doesn't really look that good. It seems a little slow paced But, i'm sure that the used map settings games will be good |

Oh, and they haven't even MADE zerg yet, so the graphics have yet to be finalized overall. No point polishing graphics until you know which units would be in the final game.

Not true we have Mutalisks, Zerglings. But these are merely obscure technicalities and you are right of course.
I think they don't know how to do them 3d-ish like. Bets they're not going to have living buildings to the extent of the first. Oh but it is good. Go watch the damn HiDef Version of Terran Gameplay.

they don't suck, but they are FAR from being overpowered. (even the "almighty" psionic storm have big weakness... and i think most people would agree that carriers are simply "cool looking", but seriously not worthing a fleet of Battle Cruiser (with the same amount of ressource, of course)) Even if you let a protoss player some time to expand and go high on the tree, the cost and the lack of "options" are really hurtful against someone of the same experiences and skills. Thus, even with hardcore or casual playing, protoss are hardly overpowered. we can't really engineer any balance for the moment, but knowing blizzard, they will work on the balance thorough the development and also after the release anyway.

Predators got removed.
Comments? For the uninitiated, Predators were Terrain T1 air-to-air with the ability to engage in "intercept mode" and shoot down enemy projectiles. Now, Vikings can't be built from Factories, but have to be built at the Starport, and don't require an upgrade to transform. Good change IMO. The intercept mode was interesting, but really, it wasn't needed. SC = massing game, so unless you were massing Predators, it'd probably be worthless. On the other hand, Vikings seem to be VERY poorly armored, so their effectiveness at AA will probably be limited, especially when Protoss get that BS Phoenix overcharge. Also, unless Goliaths are going to be re-added into the game, Terran now have no mobile ground-based AA other than Marines, unless the Ghost can do some hardcore Gundam Dynames style sniping. EDIT: Oh, Thor can AA too, but Thors are dumb = ( |
