You're just different.

The rest of us LOVE this.

So, you and everybody else but me are perfectly happy if we never see Kanata and Kazuki again and this manga becomes a carbon-copy of Game Over?

I think you are too worried. The main couple will be back. But I think the author wants to explore various views of Love at Fourteen, instead of only one.

Considering that the latest chapter (21.5) is, in fact, a rehash of Game Over chapter 1, I think my fears are entirely justified.

The mangaka, Mizutani Fuka, finished Game Over over a year ago. Why do we need to see more of it now? Are we now going to see a complete, five chapter rehash of Game Over, but from the boy's perspective?

I started reading 14-sai no Koi because of this synopsis:

Quote:
A story about two unusually mature young people. They are both smart, very together and they are in love. But, as grown-up as they act, they are still just 14 and their feelings for each other are captured with tenderness and lack of nostalgia, but very cutely.
not this:

Quote:
A middle school BOY and a beautiful OL, an extraordinary love story, from their meeting until goal in.
If you guys wanna read a manga by the same mangaka about a young teenage boy having a love affair with a much older woman, why don't you just go read Game Over? It's short (five chapters) and sweet, and it's been completed for over a year.

Tanaka is much cuter when she shows a vulnerable side. Actually they are both happier when they can drop that fake front for a while.

And in the latest development: Token Lesbian Girl shoots herself in the foot. Repeatedly. With a rocket launcher.

Well, she certainly deserves it after what she tried to pull .

I can respect Kazuki not wanting his girlfriend to know about his weaker sides, but if I were in his position, I'd probably take advantage of the fact that my girlfriend is smarter than me .

That beyond cute Kanata blushing .

And of course, studying prevails in the end .

Oh, I agree completely. She's the only character in this that I dislike.

14 Sai No Koi chapter 23

Finally the mangaka gets around to writing a chapter that (mostly) features the main pair. Unfortunately, she just can't seem to tear herself away from, yet again, pairing up a middle school kid with an adult. I fear that we are in for a couple chapters of yet another classmate's unrequited (I hope) love story, instead of focusing on what was supposed to be what this manga is about: Kanata's and Kazuki's own love story.

Yeah that is getting on my nerves too. When I was in middle school all the teachers were either old or married with one exception.

Back on track?

Chapter 23.7 had me worried that the mangaka would go off on another tangent and spend a few more chapters exploring her special fetish, older women with younger boys.

But, with chapter 24, I'm glad to say that Kanata and Kazuki were the only focus. If only the mangaka could keep her personal demons at bay and maintain her focus on our lovely main couple. When she does, it is a wonderful story.

Derailed again

Well, I shouldn't be surprised that the mangaka keeps lusting after young, middle school boys since the first manga I read by her was Game Over.

But, nonetheless, it is still extremely disappointing that she can't keep herself focused on the couple that is supposed to be the main focus of this series, Kanata and Kazuki.

Neat chapter but I hope this is the last one with this couple for a while.

I'm getting off this derailed train!

I've had it with this pedofile mangaka who is obsessed with adult women lusting after young boys.

If she kept to the premise of this manga, I'd keep reading, but when every 2 out 3 or 3 out of 4 chapters are about various pedofile relationships, it irks me just way to much to put up with it anymore.

Which is a shame since the relationship between the supposed main characters is really a great one to watch.

I am very disappointed.

Then just drop it and just whining. Nobody cares.

I don't happen to see a "moderator" tag by your id so who are you to tell me what to do?

A guy with common sense that gets annoyed by your pointless whining.
All your posts are just about how you don't like this or that.
If the manga is soo horrible, why do you keep coming back for it?
It just pisses me off when people do nothing but complain about a work.
Who are YOU to tell the author what to write about!?
