Reiterating what Stuopidget said, vol 1 sales have been excellent. It's currently ranked 16 on Amazon. After Persona and WORKING, it's the best selling show of the season (Fate/Zero hasn't been registered yet).

I have nothing against big boobs, but some of the characters do look odd. Put it that way, they look unbalanced, huge racks attached to a slim body doesn't look right. It is actually something bothering me for some time. If the character designer cannot design girl with big euter, maybe they should leave it. Nevertheless it is sunrise, so I'll keep on watching.

watched this, was pretty disappointed, it's a bunch of stupid people doing stupid things, like the teacher is a mary sue the entire "training session" her students are morons, the dailogue is rather stilted, feels akward as people take for the sake of being heard. The chara designs are not bad, but too many cow tits and real lack of different body sizes. Anyway just a lot of stupidity, feel like they have something interesting, but the intro lacked any real movement, grave singing, was rather pointless. I'll follow for another 2-3 episodes but for first impressions this one stunk.

Well, that was an interesting first episode.
I usually don't go for this sort of anime show (much for the same reasons that Nosauz just laid out in the post above this one), but this first episode largely clicked with me for some reason. Maybe it's the BGM (which I liked a lot), maybe it's the really creative and diverse character designs, maybe it's because the teacher reminds me vaguely of Haruhi Suzumiya, maybe it's the solid action scenes... but yeah, for whatever reason, I found this pretty fun. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to just anyone, but I thought it was decent entertainment.

The bgm- No, the song during the fight with the winged-girls was excellent and possibly even better than the OP imo The crazy cast of monster-weirdo reminds me of Macademi Wasshoi which I also enjoyed... There's only so much human designs can do. But of course, as I had expected, the guy causally fondling the teacher while the other classmates only talk about it is probably why he's the main character...Huh? I'm not sure sure if I got it right, but that arrogant name changing girl is his sister or something? I can see the trollish resemblance

Now that's how you can make a Mary Sue-ish character work. Give her an achilles heel, and its all good. Or in this case, an achilles breast. Quote:
But unless somebody corrects me, I'll assume that they're brother and sister, yeah.

Uh... the breast fondling was flat to me, other than her face getting red she didn't have a reaction... she didn't sulk in a corner crying about her virgin breast or something of the like, instead she stood behind the mc and let him monologue about some vague bullshit which is highly implausible, if you want to deliver dialogue or plot diahrea this is definitely not the way to do it. That was my whole problem with the scene, it just wasn't funny, she gets embarassed, disappears for literally 2 mins and then proceeds to beat him to a pulp, at least if you had her chargin in the background with a menacing look I could buy it but it was just ultra awkward and really broke the 4th wall for me.

Quoted for truth. This show had a worse first impression on me than Kamisama Dolls did... and that's saying a lot (in my book). |

Like how people talk the whole freaking 5 sentences in a time frame that appears to be 2 seconds? You sure are nitpicking a lot.
If you are talking about Kimi, then I remember one of the relationship charts does note them as sibling.

Oh god... hibiki nearly made me drop that show, but reading a weekly recap of I eventually got back in, it's sad when triple Z's can break your suspension of disbelief huh, kind of like this show, honestly I feel like all the girls in this anime need back braces before they develop scoliosis.

No, seriously. The only reason that girls with those kind of boobs don't look so bad because it's anime, where you appreciated the "style" instead of the "precision". You may be complaining about REDLINE, next thing we know.

Quite an exciting start, with all the cool action sequences. Then the fan-service. My gosh, all the over the top fan-service. But then, that was about it. I was like, "huh? What is going on here?" thoughout most of the episode. Even the very rushed explainations at the end was too quick and confusing to grasp.
I have no idea what the heck I just watched. Either way, I will probably stay with the series until the end, but I do hope it improves before my brain explodes.

I know it doesn't sound right, but I suggest you read some summary in the light novel thread, since we are supposed to watch a 1300 pages book adapted into 13 episodes.
