To make it short: verse 1 is darker universe where shit hits the fan and break the ceiling. Monstrous Abominations made of weaponized Nanomachine went on rampage and killed 1/3 of human population. It got worse that when WMD is used, human succeed at the cost of 90% military personnel.

I.S. never born as I.S., seeing Tabane killed before the design is completed. Instead, they barely managed to roll them out as machine called Sonic Divers. Here, Ichika is the only male that pilot True Sonic Diver, as opposed to mass production version or other vehicle that use similar technology. Just like I.S., only female able to use them, but there's no social shift occurring at all. This version of earth is a warzone and there's no time for feminist supremacy.

Ichika participated at the final onslaught against WORM fleet, and as his final mission succeed (with nearly all of his friend killed to boot!) he was sucked into a space-time anomaly.

Verse 2 is similar to Canon universe, but with Female Ichika. As we discuss earlier, this Ichika is even more wimpy than canon (situation is similar to Kanzashi, hence why they're good friends here from the beginning), but even more badass when she need to.
