I am kind of depressed that the second season is only 2 OVAs long. I hope they make each OVA's 50 minutes long, although that would be unlikely.

This isn't the second season. These are OVAs. As revealed above, the actual second season will be...well, an actual second season.

It is definitely great news to hear that there will be a whole season after the OVA's. So I guess these OVA's can be considered a part of the first season, or will they be stand alone random episodes?

From a musical perspective, the OVAs have their own theme songs, which I take to mean they're meant to be independent, but occurring sometime between the two seasons.

Don't know if the fansubs released these, but the BD/DVD release of the OVA allows you to make a choice on who you think was the best waitress for the F class Chinese cafe towards the end of the episode with a timer for about 10 seconds. The choices are Hideyoshi, Minami, Himeji....and then a 4th option pops up for Akihisa about 5 seconds in. Who you pick makes the OVA show their reactions in different ways though the ending ends up being the same after their reaction is shown.

Don't know if this is the first anime home video release to incorporate an interactive element to the main feature though.
