It's not really rare but Capricorn which was released by ADV as a subbed only vhs tape-I'm lucky I made a very good quality transfer to dvd while I still had the tape. Oh yeah-that and Robot Carnival which I own a dvd of.

Lamune, that was quite a gem. Found it on crunchyroll in my treasure hunt for any random thing which looked shiny. I browse by instinct!

The rarest i've seen is probably Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou I read the manga and fell in love with it, but it took me a good 6 months to find the ova's.

Pale Cocoon, only found it because of Time of Eve (which is another gem itself).

Another one who loved the anime, out of all the people I know seen it; they either love it or hate it very much.

I got to say Love Com was a hard series to get. I had to order it out of Japan. It is a cute series though. ^.^

I just start watching it this afternoon. Just finished episode four. Really enjoying it thus far.

As for other "rare" anime, hmm, I guess I'll say Ginban Kaleidoscope.

On other forums people will ask me what my favourite anime is and when I say Ginban Kaleidoscope everyone goes, "GinBan What?"

I'm glad there are a few people on these boards who have also seen the anime. I've got the manga but well... I can't read Japanese! =D

10 seconds on any torrent site and you get seeded torrent ... I wouldn't call that rare ...

But it's probably the least well-known anime I have watched as well, so I'd say I haven't seen any rare anime.

Ya I just did a quick search and it can be found, but when I looked for it a few years ago all the sites listed it but all the torrents had no seeds I give up after a while, then about 6 months later I stumbled across it by accident on a direct download site.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan before it came out on dvd, very funny too!
I never hear anything about Urban Square or Digital Devil Monogatari Megami Tensei for that matter

Gotta say the almost forgotten Starship Troopers 2 parter OVA; an actual mecha story as opposed to Paul Verhoven's extremely loose adaptations.

Kagihime. Not many people have heard of it. The manga was never translated and they stoppen manufacturing the DVD's a while ago. Quite a good series though.
