That's a Revoltech Woody, btw, not a Figma. (I know, I know, I'm being too picky )

Which one is better btw?
Revoltech or Figma?

I already got figma Rider, pretty satisfied with the result so I'm getting Luka too. Maybe BRS, if I'll have the money.

I'm thinking of picking up a Revoltech too. Maybe Alleyne or Nanael from Queen's Blade. Do you guys recommend the brand or rather I should just stick with figma?

Just when Saber Extra thought her new chariot took some getting used to...

...she discovered it was more than meets the eye!

Luckily, she was able to sit down and discuss how the Moon Cell Automaton totally did not look anything like the Allspark. Not one bit.

I only have Revoltech Layton and Figma Haruhi at the moment (though I'll have BRS in a few days, and I have more of both series pre-ordered), and I can say that they're about equal. It's been a while since I really did anything with them, but off the top of my head, Haruhi seemed more fragile (in that it felt strange using so much force to switch parts) while for Layton it seemed more natural (but the interchangeability of Revoltech parts is one of their selling points). Honestly, just go for what you want; if there's a character you want that's in both series and you can only get one, just consider how they look/what they come with.

The only figure I really want atm is the new Nadeko by GSC. Seriously, those legs @_@;;

...and you know what I said about the most expensive figure I've seen? Forget it. New record. "They can be displayed together".. sure, if you live in a house made of gold xD

Admittedly the design on that Nadeko is good. But I just don't like Bake characters, hehe.

Today saw news of an interesting re-release: Alter's versions of Fate and Nanoha are getting another run. Fate came out for reserve today, Nanoha should in the next few days.

Reserved Fate already. And just when I thought this one would be out of my reach! ^^

Yeah, I ordered her yesterday as soon as I found the preorder listed. Not missing out this time, she sold out so fast in the first release. ;.;

Serious? Geez...their Black Rock shooters got delayed by around a month. They finally got released on the 25th. Goodsmile are cranking good gear but they are having a fair amount of release dates, lately.

Wow, end of October? I'm only planning to buy GSC Tohsaka but seeing these delays I get the feeling it won't be released until next year

We all know that pure PVC can warp if kept in hot, bright conditions. Can figures made out of other plastics, say resin or cold casts, lean? Is it true that pure resin kits never lean in an optimal enviroment, even when on one leg?

Resin is a hard material, so it shouldn't lean unless the quality of the resin itself is really bad (Thai recasts).

Thanks for the answer. I may start sculpting, and I'd like to know my posing limits with resin casts. I suppose one leggers are fine as is with resin.

You still have to take the weight into consideration though. As long as it's decently balanced, it shouldn't be a problem, buf it it's too top heavy, I can image the resin might break. This is of course, if you're making your own. If you buy official kits, those should already be engineered to have decent balance and it shouldn't be a problem.

Anyways, ZOMG, MUST BUY:

The original Saber Distant Avalon Figure was delayed by nearly six months if I recall correctly.

She was definitely worth it though; as long as the Triumphant Excalibur figure is of the same quality, I won't be disappointed.

Not quite the gallery I have in mind for him; but this will have to do for now.

EDIT: I might have gone a tad overboard with the gallery I did get to make, however!
