Of course, the person has already drawn it [the lines], and it's sped up. But the reason this program looks good to me is because Illustrator doesn't have good raster capabilities and Photoshop doesn't have good vector capabilities. You also can't doubt that the person has had considerable practice with it. That being said, it looks pretty good.

If anyone has a better example, can they provide a link?

5. Set "Position" to "Inside"
6. Tweak settings.

Or you can:
1. Create new layer.
2. Fill with color of border.
3. Select All.
4. Go to "Select" on the menu bar, find "Modify", and click "Border".
5. Set pixels.
6. Clear/Delete selection.

The first option will create a solid border. The second option will create a border that fades in [can also be done with the first option, except by replacing "Stroke" with "Inner Glow"].

Setsilya, I'm curious as to what the answer is.

Ha Thank you so very much! ^//^

another question, How do you resize a screenshot from a show using CS3, and making it fit 100X100? like if the screenshot is 960X720?

Example: http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...Avatar0017.jpg

First you would need to crop it so that the dimensions of the unresized file equal each other, making a square [Basically, a 1:1 ratio]. Then you can resize it.

How to get a 1:1 ratio:
1. Go to the Crop tool [Press C].
2. Set the Height and the Width to 1 [Units of measurement don't matter]. [Height and Width can be found under the menu bar].
3. Choose the area you want for your avatar and press crop.

Alternate way:
1. Go to the Rectangle Marquee Tool [Press M].
2. Set "Style" to "Fixed Ratio". [Style can be found under the menu bar].
3. Set Height and Width to 1. [Height and Width can be found under the menu bar].
4. Choose the area you want for your avatar, right click, and copy.
5. Create a new document and paste.

How to resize:
1. Go to "Image" on the menu bar.
2. Go to "Image Size".
3. Set Height and Width to 100. Set Unit of Measurement to Pixels. Press OK.

There's your avatar.

Hey, i have a question, not entirely sure where it should go but this thread seems the best place heh.

I really like doing digital art, i can do colouring and stuff although i'm having 1 problem, and that's drawing lineart digitally in photoshop. I have a wacom tablet but i can't seem to get the lineart i like, i tried just using the pen tool but was too bland and no depth to it or anything.

Also tried a bunch of other ways but it didn't come out right.

I'm basically been trying for a while to get lineart very similar to this one...

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/1416/fukoup0.jpg

It's kind of an manga style but i can't seem to get it right, so was wondering if theres mabey some custom photoshop brushes available that can help or some advanced tutorials in lineart that will help me progress.

Thanks

This, although it is based not on an Anime-like figure, basic rules still applies.

Should try the program Riker just linked, most of the Japanese artist I seen use it so it must be quite a decent tool. But well depends on you. There is not a whole lot to lineart, you can probably find tutorial easily around deviantart/google. Usually default round brushes with pen pressure do the best, simply sketch and re-outline to get a good quality. Pentool is quite pointless if you have a wacom/tablet, it is better for drawing abstract art than realistic human figure.

Adding a pen pressure is probably what you need, it allows you to have a better control of the brush. Well basically it gives it a fading, which conclude it to be more pencil-like. If you want a sketchy look, then simple go google/deviantart for brushes. Oh god I just typed a novel over my lunch break, and I think I missed my lunch break also.

Here is a tutorial for lineart if you want

Setsilya, your link doesn't work [You have two http://].
Fixed link:
http://kuitsuku.deviantart.com/art/P...g-Tut-56907784

Out of curiosity to the person who asked the question. What were your brush settings when you tried to use a tablet with lineart?

Fixed, Hmm yea, a few typo too. As mentioned before, it typed during my "lunch break" it was quite the hurry. But the thing is, I DIDN'T MISS MY LUNCH.

Anyone know a way to convert Ai's Pentool options to PS? Na I am kidding.

This is what you should get

(size is to big to be used on AnimeSuki) Didn't bother with optimizing it. Though i doubt it can be made within Animesuki rules without shrinking it or totally butchering the quality.
Thanks again, actialy a could made it, but it doesn't matter how much I shrink the gif, it's still to heavy for AS forums T_T

Thanks anyway and a cookie for you

Another ask for help , I have seen many avatars that seems parts of anime's episodes.

Now I want to take 01:16-01:17 from this opening (The part in wich appears Jubei smoking)

What must I do? Must I take a photo of each second reduce the size and put them in order in Image Ready?

Oh, by the way, I alredy have this video saved in my computer

Thanks a lot since now

Check out the first page of this thread. There are three guides linked there that can help you with this.

I have CCCP installed, so I usually grab screencaps using ffdshow.

<----A BOWL OF UDON
Regarding tutorial for the your need
GIF making Tutorial, (Vitual dub) you probably only need to read capturing your screenshots section though.
Frame Capturing Tutorial by Green (ffdshow)
Frame capturing with Media Classic by Green
Frame capturing with Media Classic by Green

Yes it is possible to capture every frame in the video with simple screenshots, but I don't recommend. Just takes too long and you might miss a few frames and all.

This may be a silly question but... is there a way to crop each picture differently in imageready? I find when i use the crop tool it crops them all the same size and same place.

If you really want you can reposition each frame so when you crop they won't be all in the same place.

You can check out out the rain tutorial from the link in the first page..

And the above water effect is very easy .. altho quite troublesome to explain

And there's actually a plugin for photoshop to do that too
