Anime with Otaku Jokes?
Well, I just finished watching Lucky Star. And I really liked that it had Otaku jokes in it, ones that I could actually understand!
Do you guys know of another anime such as this one? I've asked around a little, and a lot of people say Ouran, but I've already seen it! |

Hayate the Combat Bulter. It references so many anime series, it will make your head spin. I don't even claim to get 1/2 of them, but the ones I do are really humerous. Sometimes it is obvious, but other times its a tiny bit, you really have to pay attention to catch at all.

Well Idk much about Otaku Humor/Parody oriented show to be honest I never really enjoyed them(feels like a forced gag) but theres a few Otaku themed shows if thats at least near enough of what you wanted
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu : The Otaku theme is present BUT it is still romantic comedy so its not ALWAYS about the Otaku Lifestyle. Genshiken: Is all Otaku, it does have romance, drama and all that but its mostly a comedy around the lives of Otakus from hardcore to cosplayers. Welcome to NHK Touches on a lot of topics in the Otaku lifystyle mostly because of the NEET issue, but its not really a main theme but you can still apreciate it. |

Genshiken and Welcome to the NHK for above reasons.
FLCL parodies the anime industry a lot. Chaos; Head is kind of NHK crossed with Higurashi. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu - that's about a very rich girl who is ironically a very hardcore otaku.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei perhaps, if you haven't already seen it. There tend to be lots of references to Japanese (otaku) pop culture (and Japanese culture in general; often rather obscure to the Western viewer, so be warned).
