Sora has been shooting herself in the last volumes, her development us more family oriented than romantic type, she isn't even chastising Yuta that much unlike the previous novels.

At amazon.jp they have added a volume 17 description in Japanese. Raika has graduated and became an elementary school teacher:

Volume 18 is going to be the final volume, right? Raika's confession might be the misdirect before the end we see often in anime/manga/LNs.

Yes, there was a time skip, Rails graduated 1 year ago and is a teacher while Yuuta just graduated and is looking for a job.

Otoh, the text below colored Raika says "Yuuta, I love you".

Makes no sense, first he doesn't sees Sora in a romantic light so far and second, after all the sacrifices he did for the girls sake, doesn't he deserves to follow his own happiness for once?

If he just rejects her for Sora then I demand a perfect reasonable argument why.

Or maybe Yuuta rejects her for some dumb reason and it's Sora the one who puts some sense into him. That could be the Plot for the next volume.
