The side chapter pretty much confirmed that Erina only admires Jouichirou as a chef. There is no romance whatsoever.

Love can come slowly. Admiration can evolve into love eventually. I really wish Erina will seriously be in love with Jouichirou. It has been a while since I saw a setting where the supposed main heroine fall in love with the protagonist's dad instead of the protagonist himself in Bloody Monday.

Why do people think erina is heroine anyway that girl who always tastes soumas dishes can be a good heroine then erina plus erina is more like a bad guy then heroine . I dont think souma will end up with erina who cares about that spoiled brat anyway .

Part of 52.5 was definitely designed to clearly disassociate Erina's adoration of 'Jouichirou' into one of merely his cooking, without any semblance of romantic association.

And the hints are clear, the direction is obvious. Erina is going to win the Souma's shokugeki and taste that dish.

I find it somewhat interesting that Erina's only apparently known of Bandana's existence for a very short period of time, even though the flashback shows that he's been Alice's pet property servant aide for a good amount of years now.

His docile persona confirmed for fake personality created by Alice through years of domestication in her dungeon confirmed.

The way he taunted that curry lady into eating his dish... that was hot. 93 points, as expected. The aides are very impressive. Makes you wonder what Alice's score is going to be. Probably a perfect 100.
