Alice's current set-up is that she's the person, amongst the entire freshman year who's probably the closest thing to being Erina's direct rival/enemy, which means she's positioned as the one just below entry-level Elite 10, or equivalent in some ways.

In terms of powerlevels, she's always at one or two ranks higher than the other regular talents, expert on certain dishes or not.

I'm sure Alice can defeat Hisako even at her speciality. That's part of the whole point of being someone of a higher tier in powerlevels.

Its quite plausible. And also after seeing Souma's dish got high score from reputable and picky judge like that, not even Erina can keep deluding herself how Souma is not fit in the school.

Exactly. Alice is on a higher level compared to the rest of the first years (save for Erina), winning against an expert is not that big a deal for her. We're very early in the series and Souma is still inexperienced, I can't see him defeating her so soon after all the hype she's received. Tying against Hayama is enough of an achievement for now. Being the MC has its downside, you can't become the strongest right away.

It's safe to say that the finals is going to be a a showdown between Alice and Souma, and for some reason, I can see Alice going the good ol' "i'll forfeit so we have to postpone this showdown, which will never be shown, cuz Souma will outclass her by the time it would come to that" route.

Yes, you're right. Unless Alice was personally coached by a god-tier such as Asura, there is no way she can beat Souma in real game. It was damn obvious that Erina and Alice never really experienced a real crushing defeat..or else, they wouldn't downplayed Souma's "loss" during the buffet competition.

As for the Souma, he always lose so horribly to his father despite that his dishes were meant to be "100 points". Having 490 times losses to a god-tier definitely gave Souma a lot more experiences that grinding on the low-tier students such as Nikumi and etc over and over again.

Souma beating Alice and Hayama are completely inevitable. They are not the real enemy. The real enemy/boss in this arc is the Alchemist.

To be frank, I really want to see Alice's reaction if she really lost to Souma. Will she slut it up to make Souma her?
