"Did you really think that killing me would be enough to make me die" is the new "people die when they are killed"

It's too bad hero Kanon isn't reincarnating to be Anos' love interest but I see that Maou not only got a ring for Misha's birthday but also put the ring on the fourth finger of her left hand, declaring his eternal love for her. From this day forward, I pronounce you Maou and wife.

That's kinda spoiling, but because it might also reassure people who don't like harems: The twins are the only real heroines. There are two other girls who are kinda sub, but only the twins are truly treated as heroines and have a romantic development with Anos.

Hope it reassures people who fear it will devolve into a typical harem.

I was kind of expecting as much given the twins get the brunt of the focus in the Opening .

As long as they're comrades. Honestly, I'm fine with a single girl, a couple, or ten girls. Whatever way, I just hope that the hero does reincarnate and becomes his friend. Doesn't have to be a girl (though it'd be funny in its own way, especially if he regained his memories), just a friend, comrade, maybe follower.

One thing occurred to me though: the walls blocking them from the other realms should have fallen a millennium ago (he said in the past the walls would keep everyone separated for a thousand years before continuing that he'd reincarnate in two thousand), but we've not heard a thing about the other realms. Has everyone forgotten how to cross realms, or have they just decided on peace? Or did someone actually come along after Anos made that move for peace and actually destroy the other worlds?

One thing I'm coming back to when rewatching the last episode is when pulling up his two shields and talking with Ivis. Maybe it's the subs or just me, but I'm not entirely sure what Anos is saying here . Is he saying he's not going to take trash talk from Ivis who he created himself? Is he saying he won't allow Ivis to disregard the words of Sasha and Misha who have put their faith in him? Is it somehow both at the same time? That whole part of the episode was great with the building music, badass moments, and leading to the girls both taking care of their own business and Anos wrecking Ivis. I'm just not entirely sure what Anos is trying to say here.

I kind of like that. Of course may change my mind depending on how the other characters turn out when they enter the story . But I like the idea of keeping it fairly narrowly focused on who gets romantic developments with Anos. Also just lets other kinds of relationships form.

Honestly, I'm not sure myself. It would seem like the barriers must have fallen between the realms well before Anos came back. But I can't imagine anyone else showing up 1000 years ago that could wipe out all those realms and people. While it would make for an interesting development to have Anos' big play still result in the massacre of all the other races, I don't think that sort of thing would lead to the kind of peace and weakened demonic race that we've seen thus far.

Maybe everyone has forgotten over the past 1000 years how to cross to the other realms. Or lies were spread that 'Avos' wiped them all out and thus no one even thinks of trying to seek out other realms. Of course that wouldn't necessarily explain why no other races have crossed the divide.

for what i got, all the realms are at peace at last human and demons, because not all demons of this age are "pure" demons, they are from breedy between demons and the others races, like anos himself, which is a "demon" born from humans"(if i'm not wrong was stated which his parents are full humans), the only reason he is a "demon" is because he reborn" then theorically he is a "full pure blood demon" since he is the "mao" himself, but now currently he is a "half-blood" since he was born from "humans".

about the harem, as aways my big issues on this sort of series is when they introduce others "cool males characters" but only the mc is the chicken magnetic and all others guys or are herbivore, or are sexless(not interested in girls) and no matter how cool they also are none girl even look at then, when they are cool, others times they are just "comic relief", making hard to take the "romance and harem" serious and something to "accept so easy, is really frustrating when the author make another secondary male characters which are cool too and would diservers some "love" but are negleted because the "wishfull" stuff and self insert supreme harem guy".

Another note, after read the manga like others pointed not only they "rushed some info" but on that episode "changed some stuffs, i don't know if they did it to "just change the order" and add it later or just cut off, i can't say more without going spoiler but for romance would be something good to see if they don't skiped and just changed the order.

This King of Demons or Maou, I forgot his name.
He spilled lot of someone's blood in the earlier episode just by pumping his heart inside. He did just that to show people how "Strong" he is, it is also the funniest part for me though.
He can't exactly show his actual heart inside because then he has to rip out his own skin, but he just had to unbutton his own shirt and almost exposed everyone of his own sixpack, yeah like that supposed to be look cool or look so attractive as male. But damn it, if I really have to develop one of my own for the greater good.

Lots of blood, way too much blood to just to show off his what? Elegance?
Really fun though, that is just about it.

Really enjoying this, really happy it's been given a bit of love and not just churned out.

The scanlation reactions to Sasha for what happened in the manga that Episode 3 to Episode 4 covered were pretty funny, a lot of name calling turned into "we were wrong" "onions" etc lol.

Anyway looking forward to what comes next since the scanlations will probably get passed with next episode.

I mean it's still pretty obvious, it really doesn't require the Hunter X Hunter narrator from the chimera arc to pop up and explain over 5 minutes why he's so strong in his own castle.

I wasn't suggesting incredibly long-winded explanations. But they could have done with some. Like making note of the fact that he's not simply crazy strong, he's crazy-prepared. He's kind of like Jack Rakan from Negima in that sense. He can come across as just being so strong the rules don't apply, or just ignoring the rules and getting away with it, but the reality is he's been through thousands of fights of every kind imaginable, and he's set down preparations to deal with absolutely anything. For instance, coming up with ways to change the way Jio Graze executes so he can set off several at once, with some set so for them to go off the opponent has to reverse or mess with time. He then sent a couple attacks with just normal blasts before starting with those, and the bastard couldn't figure out why reversing or stopping time wasn't working. You don't have to explain every single thing to convey this power. I just felt it might have been cool to go just a bit deeper into the how and why. Oh well, we get some of that with other things, so it's not a huge thing.

Episode 5:

Lol, it seems Anos has many new fangirls.

> Anos Fans Union.
Yeah, this kinda reminds me of the same league as Fruits Basket's Yuki fanclub. Idk how to feel about that Ray guy. He doesn't look sketchy but something feels off about him. Ray vs Anos was a weird fight, doesn't even feel like the two were taking it seriously at first. Anos taking down Ray with a just a stick made the fight look even more humorous.

Sasha and Misha's relationship is also improving.

I thought Ray was going to definitively be Kanon's reincarnation before they introduced Shin, a loyal vassal of Anos as the Demon Lord who was extremely effective with a sword and planned to reincarnate so as to reunite with his master even if it meant losing all his memories and gained sword skills. Ray seems to have some kind of camaraderie and vague recollections of the Demon Lord like someone who knew him in a past life would, but I guess the same could be said for if it was Kanon in a rivalry sense. Is the ambiguity deliberate? Could Kanon and Shin have reincarnated together ?

Never try to pull the wool out from under Anos' eyes. Now he knows for sure that the teacher is out to deliberately fail him, although maybe she was acting on someone's orders .

I love how Misa is getting close to Anos and Sasha is all "get back, girl." Marking her territory, that one .

Who needs a full-blown Harem when you can introduce a bunch of fangirls who have statues of you and even books featuring your shirtless and probably in various other states of undress? Sasha certainly seemed intrigued .

Although the Unitarian's aren't just fangirls, they're a group dedicated to reforming the Demon society that penalizes and shuns hybrids to the point where their highborn family won't even acknowledge them. One of the Emperors is supporting them, so I wonder if they genuinely believe in what the Unitarian's are doing or have a specific stance on hybrids? It couldn't be Misa's father, could it ?

Ray seems like a pretty chill, if subtly competitive, guy. He bounces off Anos pretty well, so I feel like we're in a for a good bromance with a hefty dose of a healthy rivalry to add some spice for it .

The girls gave a genuine effort, which is commendable, but they didn't stand a chance against the long-awaited combo attack of the Necrom sisters .

Nice use of the Opening for the final clash between Anos and Ray! Looks like Anos finally has his full team .

I was a little disappointed they cut Misa's line before entering the fan union from the manga, where she insisted that they were serious and devoted to discussing and finding ways to oppose the oppression hybrids were facing, only for them to open the door and all the girls were either looking through collections of pictures or playing with figures of Anos. Yeah, Misa's not fooling anyone, they're Anos fans first, freedom fighters second.

Pretty clear though that Ray is the reincarnated servant. Even more so in the manga where they went on about his status as owner and master of countless blades (I don't remember if there was a set number). Couldn't be Kanon, since as an ultimate master of source magic I find it hard to buy he'd fail to remember his past life. Too bad, that seems to also make it unlikely that Misa is Kanon, unless she's working hard to hide her memories of her past. It'd be real fun to see the great Hero reincarnated as a girl on the other side in the same class as the Demon King. Either way, while it felt slightly rushed I'm glad the story's overtaken the manga (or at least the translations I've seen), as I've grown to often dislike seeing the comparison. Not to say this's even remotely bad, I love this series so far. I just feel like I might love it even more not knowing when they skip things that I feel were cool. I'd rather enjoy this first.

I was totally banking on Ray being Kanon's reincarnation, but to be fair it was easy to lean that way. We didn't know much about any of the guys serving Anos before and Kanon was a big deal swordsman so it fit. Of course minus another big twist it seems nearly 100% he's the reincarnation of Shin.

Of course now makes you wonder about Kanon and his potential reincarnation. He was claimed to be even better at source magic than Anos. In that case if he did show up it would certainly be as Kanon himself and not a mostly different person with his soul like with Ray. Didn't really see any signs in the OP/ED so now I'm wondering if Kanon will re-enter the story before this season is over or not.

The Anos is a bit concerning, but hey...at least they can put in effort when it counts. It could be useful to have fodder .

I'm honestly curious where things go from here. Does this large group remain a team? Are there any traitors in the midst of it? I'm not entirely sure. Ray could be a pretty solid friend/rival who can actually put some pressure on Anos at times. But he could have some plans as well. Have to presume most if not all of the Elder Demon Emperors have been corrupted or overtaken like Ivis was. If one of them is supporting the Unitarians then it's only for some cruel plan. And Shin was presumably one of them before he reincarnated. So it's possible he did avoid the same issues they ran into, but you never know.

Was nice to see Sasha and Misha team up and show their talents. Now that they have unified (even if it is just with their pasts selves) they are a bit tougher now.

I think Misa pretty effectively set them up as a more legitimate and serious organization when she first brought them up to Anos, so the reveal of what they're really like was still pretty effective for me .

I wonder if they became fangirls after Anos started flexing his muscles around the school or if they had reason to believe he was the reincarnated Demon Lord otherwise ?
