00, and SEED Destiny, and Gundam SEED before it all had merchandise blitzes when they were first announced. Although the scope of the merchandise being promoted for AGE is surprisingly extensive though.

And the "smart phone control" and "card game Gundam" info was proven to be trolling even before today.

At least we can be assured that this will be one of the best Gundam games ever made, lol. Level 5 makes some good games after all. Plus it'll probably have the same writer and character designer as the show itself... Definitely a must-play!

im kinda looking forward to this now. it doesnt look bad at all in my opinion! definitely not as mature as other shows but i can live with that.

OK, I'm officially sold on this new Gundam. It's a wonder how a blur pic and a promotional video can have so different effect

The animation is good, everything, especially the character looks good in motion. What surprised me the most is the green haired main character's voice. I was expecting a girl voice, but no, it sounds GAR!!! This is getting better and better!

Any idea what the Age Device toy will do? Is it some digimon portable pet/game stuff? I am a sucker for these things

AGE-2 and AGE-3 definitely will look different, if the silhouette in the main web page is to believe (I don't think they are silhouettes for Sparrow and Titus)

why do i think this series will be like ZZ Gundam? lighter tone at the begining then gets getting darker & more mature later on?

Yup, they will be look different with the armor upgrade at the silhoutte's shoulder (I think it will be AGE-2) which you can see on the left side of AGE-1 in the picture below.

I have not watched the PV yet, but is this confirmed or a very likely possibility at this point?

It is actually very old school - the support cast looks like they all came from many 70s super robot anime.

Have they announce the time slot yet?

It's confirmed, he's listed in the first place for mechanical design. And AGE does have some Eibikawa Gundam features, now to think of it

ZZ made me laugh, this seems like it will make me cringe.

I'm not going to hate on it for the sake of it, it might turn out to be decent (As long as I throw away most of my expectations of a Gundam series).

I don't like the designs, it's like they've stuck lots of designs from the previous series and stuck them in a blender. The new enemy designs are unique to say the least, there's a few throwbacks to Eins' and Jagd Arche's cannons, and GN-X suits but overall they're not a crappy rehash. They're basically taking the Gundam 00 features of Gundams and mixing them with design features similar to the Gunpla Begining G and Extreme Gundam which I don't like.

To me, wether I like the series or not, each universe has had pretty unique looking designs (whilst fitting in with the Gundam-ish template), I don't think these are particularly creative at all.

As for the chibish character designs, I just can't take the series seriously anymore. Let's hope the next series will return to its roots while keeping a fresh storyline and unique (and not ugly) MS designs.
