2024 Space Battleship Yamato 2205: New Voyage

Gamilas and Iscandar are in Trouble by the Dark Nebula Empire like in original this time Iscandar wont gone off course without Gamilas.

The largest difference between the two timeline right now is that Gamilas is still populated in this version. And Gamilas is still a major power in its own right. Before it was a dead world with Dessler holding the only major fleet the race had with him. Though he would gather more ships from other parts of his empire before finding planet Galman in the old timeline, Gamilas was a broken power back then. Now it is still a major galactic force, even with the losses to Yamato and Gatlantis.

I imagine there are a lot of ships rallied with Dietz to hold the space around Galman from the Bolar. Also likely a bunch of ships stationed along the route to Galman to defend convoys of military hardward and civilians to planet Galman.

The hope is that a sizable part of Gamilas population will survive this in some way. But judging by the trailer...it does not look good for the blue people. They may have a sizable population decrease on par with what they did to Earth's population less than a decade prior to the coming of the Dark Nebula.

I get that impression from the trailers as well.
I also get the feeling that Starsha is going to quickly rethink her position on the Wave Motion Gun with the Dark Nebula attack on Gamilas.
Also I expect that Yamato is going to show up at the last minute to save whatever civilians are left alive. This will of course further Dessler's respect for Yamato and her crew and help move him into becoming a friend of Susumu Kodai.

Thus leaving Dessler as the closest thing they have left to a legitamate ruler. Combine that with his hero-liberator status with the Galman people, and you have the return of Emperor Dessler of the Galman-Gamilas in the near future.

like the Dark Nebula Empire had an ultimatum on the Earth's Leaders to find wheres the Space Battleship Yamato in Be Forever Yamato like the Gamilan Leaders been forced to talk about it and they didnt talk like the Dark Nebulans would been planted a Big ass Bomb to blow up Gamilas and the Dark Nebulans would tried to execute Hilde like in original when Heikuro Todo rant the Dark Nebulans defiantly and he got killed only for Mamoru saved him but he died in a suicide attack if Hyss would pulled that move like Mamoru Kodai commited Suicide bombing by saving Todo.

Starsha wanted to blew up Iscandar than have it by those muscle head dark nebulan cyborgs to get their precious wave motion core like in original Yamato: The New Voyage and bet on Dessler's Dessler Gun been able to damaged that Goruba this time around in a remake than been got shrugged off by the Goruba's barrier in original if Yurisha and a newborn Sasha been escape like how Mamoru and young Sasha been on Yamato in original.

Yamato 2205: New Voyage Part One - Take Off

Analysis: Good
(Barring oddities found after translations are found)

Good use of new characters while finding uses for existing characters.

Good pacing of the story.

A few animation oddities, but the style is closer to Yamato 2199 than is it to Yamato 2202.

Good Continuity from Yamato 2199 and 2202. Things that happened in the previous series are still reflected in the current series.

Good use of tactics in combat.

And an ending that really wants you to speed up time to get February 4th, 2022 here already.

This appears to be mostly a retelling of New Voyage with bits of the early Yamato III episodes tossed in to match up the training sequences in both with the new crew members. There may be hints of Be Forever, Yamato in there, but not massively so.

Spoiler for Seen Earth Ships in Yamato 2205:

We see a few ships of the Earth forces while Yamato is still in the Sol System
Aside from Yamato there are the carriers Hyuga and Asuka.
There is one seen patrol cruiser that was docked next to the carriers.
Ginga is still in the system working on the Moon and using its explorer arrays for deep space tracking
There is at least one functional Andromeda-class ship in the Sol System. Seen briefly observing the mock battles between Yamato, Asuka, and Hyuga.
Other than the new Mark 5 mechs, the Cosmo Tiger IIs, the Cosmo Zero, and the new Cosmo Pythons, we don't see much else of note. Though it looks like they are building what looks like the Cosmo Hound inside the Asuka.

However there still a LOT of Gamilas ships in the universe. Their problem is needing to defend so much space, warp gates, and escort convoys to Galman. Dessler's own force is about 30 ships heading back to Gamilas (a mix of heavy cruisers, destroyers, and the three carriers)

and the UX-01 and their Space Subs can fire SSLBM (Space Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles) the Andromeda Class got survived like Achilles Aldebaran and Antares they're the only ones got survived aside from Apollo Norm and Andromeda. i think the Gamilon Apollo Norms been returned to earth since Fomt Berger used a new Gamilas Battlecarrier.

They could also have any of the incomplete BBB Andromedas that were under construction in the Time Fault when they shut down the dimension. Those could have been completed as manned ships, or in alternate configurations (like Asuka and Hyuga were incomplete Automated Dreadnoughts that were finished as carriers between 2202 and 2205)

Who knows. Maybe Earth will send backup for Yamato's Task Force 65 this time. Be kind of fun to see a small group of Dreadnoughts, Cruisers, and Frigates escorting an Andromeda and Ginga against Gorba and whatever fleet it has with it. A dozen more wave motion guns would still do nothing to Gorba, though with more, that point can be proven.
