Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this version of the head ring? http://www.toranoana.jp/mailorder/ar...010252017.html
I'm curious how it compares to the Animate version? It looks nicer, in my opinion, but I dunno ._.

I don't know where to put this... but there's going to be a Higurashi and Umineko Card Battle game.

OK, I don't know if this goes here or not, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it does. If it doesn't please feel free to move it to the appropriate thread:
With the release of Umineko EP 8, I decided to import the disk of the game from Japan, but I didn't preorder as I didn't have the money at the time. Well, I have the money and was thinking of buying EP 8 as well as Umineko Tsubasa if I had the money. However, I go on my usual import site, Himeya, and notice that all the Umineko materials are out of stock. I check around the internet and notice that, except for amazon japan and ebay, nary a importer keeps stock of the game. So I was wondering: do any of you know a site where the game could be imported, beside amazon japan (where I don't know if I can buy it with American currency) and ebay (where both games are $98 a throw, and too expensive)? Or, will availability increase in the wake of Comiket?

Ep8: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html Tsubasa: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html Fighting game: http://www.amiami.jp/shop/?set=engli...e_display.html You can buy stuff with normal methods on Amazon.co.jp. The problem is their shipping is quite troublesome. It starts at something like a 3000 yen base price, because of "handling fees," and then increases something like 300 extra yen per item. So unless you're making a huge multi-item order, shipping from Amazon.co.jp can be very prohibitive. AmiAmi, though, offers unregistered SAL now which is the cheapest option I know of. |

It seems amazon.co.jp uses Fedex now exclusively for us people overseas for some reason. I tried it once for something I needed pretty quickly and Fedex is pretty awesome though pretty expensive. But I think I'll be trying some other store now.

I'm not sure if someone asked yet but which site is the best for buying Umineko in America. Himeya Shop is not taking anymore orders and it will be a while before the Anime and Comic cons start back up.

Alternative to Amazon.co.jp: If the item(s) you want from amazon have free shipping [within Japan of course], you could always use a simple forwarding service like http://www.tenso.com/en/ Do note that Tenso uses EMS, but I don't think the Umineko CDs will bog you down that much. It's also an awesome way for us commoners to use Amazon.co.jp's marketplace. My friend did that with one of the Umineko things 'cause Amazon had tokuten she liked more than the other stores. Also, hi Kylon. wwww

I have the Maria, Jessica, and Shannon figures... The ones that are realistic, not the little deformed ones. I have been waiting for them to make everyone else, but that doesn't appear to be happening. Maybe if they make a second season of the anime they will make more I guess.
And I am also in the process of sewing my own Sakutaro. Last edited by guro; 2011-01-14 at 17:41. |

I'd love figures of the following~:
- Beatrice - Battler - Bernkastel - Lambdadelta - Kanon Actually, I'd love more than that, but that'd be the best I'd hope for, I guess.. Then again, I'm gonna try sculpting my own set of Umineko figures, so.. |
