There are quite a lot Adachi series set at and around school like Touch, H2 or Miyuki.
And talking about classics, there's Kimagure Orange Road too.

The ones I can think of are Oniisama E and Clamp Campus Detective, though I don't think you would be interested in either of them as they are both of the shoujo anime style. Oh, there are also Koko wa Greenwood, St. Luminous Mission High School and the upcoming Maria-sama ga Miteru. And how can I forget Shoujo Kakumei Utena?

There's also Azumanga Daioh which involves a lot the school, but since it's licensed you'll need to buy it...

get To heart, it's basically about the everyday life of a number of schoolfriends. Almost all episodes take place completely at school.

You could also try Piano although this one deals more with real life both in and outside of school.

You could try Maburaho, it's set at a school but it's not really like an everyday life kinda anime.

OT Question: Was To Heart subbed to completion? I only saw up to a-g's 9.

It seems that every eps were subbed.
But the 10-13 are not available on torrent, so the best choice would be to look for the site of fansub which is told on AnimeNfo to fansub the 3 last eps.
