As an FMP-fan, I actually like Gonzo's FMP a bit better than the Kyoani one. Not sure if it's blasphemy or something . Both are still very good though. I hope they'll pick a good studio & crew for this big gig.

Well shit. It's like this year is the Renaissance. So many old series getting their anime.
Can't help but shed a tear, really. Might as well say that the odds of any series with a sizable established fanbase getting an anime within this year and the next few are no longer infinitesimal.

This is exciting news, but let's not get too hyped until we've got confirmation from a credible source that this is going to finish adapting the original novel series. Until we get such confirmation, I'm not ruling out the possibility that this is going to be an adaptation of the Full Metal Panic: Another spin off novels.

I don't care which studio is doing it! I never thought a continuation or a reboot or w/e would ever be made again for FMP so this feels like a dream!!
Heck, Sagara Sousuke was one of the reasons that got me into anime so I'm literally crying tears of joy here! |
