Anyone else excited for this? It's planned American release is early August the latest.

The first one had me addicted. Personally putting 300 hours into before my brother had to be a dork and save over my file.

Better pre-order it now, you wouldn't want it to become like Disgaea and pay like $100 on Ebay for one.

8/29 tho... that's like 1 day before my driving test, 2 days before I move back to college, and 5 days before I start the semester....

Lol, this made me remember all the troubles I had to go through to find the first game here in Mexico. I think I visited every damn game store in my city before finding it by accident a month later in a small flea market.

Looking forward to this one as well.

I got lucky with my copy of Disgaea. Just bought it about 2 weeks ago at my local EBgames used for 44 dollars. The disc didn't have a scratch on it, and it came with the original box, and book and everything in mint condition. :P

I'm really enjoying the game, and can't wait till Disgaea 2 comes out.

I kind of cheated the high price tag on the original and just downloaded the game via bittorent, but it's definetly worth $100+, and I would love to own the original copy if it ever gets released in like a greatest hits version. As for the second installment, I already pre-ordered one =/

If you are interested in buying the original version you could try dvdboxoffice (direct link) since they claim to have it in stock, and I know it is ~60 dollars which means it is more expensive than Disgaea 2

If you don't mind driving around for a bit you can probably still pick up a copy of Disgaea used from a gamestop/ebgames for $45 + tax. The gas kinda costs you 6-12 dollars though so I dunno maybe ebay is a better deal.

I don't think supply will be a problem this time around. Different publisher at any rate.

Gotta get this game! Nipon Ichi games are infact hard to find, I learnt my lesson now that I can't find La Pucelle at any EB Games...I'm still playing through Disgaea(on and off), and just started Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom has yet to be opened.

Did anyone get to preorder their disgaea 2 copy from the NIS site with the artbook?

I thought I could wait and preorder but they sold out the first day. :|

I'm moving back to my dorm right around when it releases so I don't wanna chance having to pay shipping twice. =/

Dunno why there's like a dozen PS2 games being released during that week. Other summer weeks averaged 2-4 release per week.

In all fairness, I doubt you'll be missing out on much. The artbook that came with the Japanese version certainly wasn't anything special. Not a bad thing to get thrown in for free, but not anything to worry about. They'll probably pop up cheap on eBay if you decide you really want one though.
