Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead man's chest

I've just watched pirates of the caribbean today, oh man, it was about 2hours and 40 minutes.... i mean, i enjoyed it, but its painful, sitting on the seat for that long >.<
Well, I thought it was pretty good, rating it 8/10. But there are a lot of things i really don't get, in the movie lol
Here's a question I wanna ask about this movie.

How come Elizabeth locked one of Jack Sparrows arms while they were trying to escape from Davy Jones. Why did she do that? And also, how did Jack's father set free at the end?

My bad, i just dont have a clue on them lol.

She locked him to the ship because they were being attacked because of him... if he went down with the ship, no more problems. That was her reasoning anyways. Didn't really make any sense considering 5 minutes later they all decide to go rescue Jack (somehow...?). Anyways the first movie was full of plot holes - this one is the same ^^. You could probably rationalize that she was also trying to deny her feelings for him? (I don't think the little love triangle that seems to have sprung up is very well done =/) Oh, and not sure what your talking about with the "father" thing... you mean Will's father? He's still a slave on the Flying Dutchman.

It was a pretty good movie, not as good as the first one.

She regretted it too, didnt she? But do you think she do have feelings toward him? But i still dont get it. Jack could just escape with them too, why did Elizabeth do that?

It doesn't have to make sense, lol. It was dramatic . And yeah, I do think she's got feelings for Jack. Based on the previews I was thinking she was going to switch to Jack and Will was getting a new girl... well they left that whole aspect of the movie rather ambiguous in the end, didn't they

Oh yes, a sequel is coming out next summer I think. At least I heard someone say that.

Indeed the sequel is already being filmed.

I found this movie as entertaining as it was preposterous. And that an awfully impressive feat. It was full of holes, but I was having such a fun time that I didn't care about those holes or silly conundrums even a whit. For a movie this outrageous to be that good is just a wonderful thing. It melted my brain out of my head and made me enjoy being brainless.

Parts of the film were shot during the location filming of Dead Man's Chest, with some principal photography in April 2005. Production of Dead Man's Chest ended March 2006. Filming on the third film will continue after summer 2006

I enjoyed Dead Man's Chest, laughs here and there along with plenty of action. The movie did have those random plot holes here and there, also Elizabeth's mixed feelings got me confused etc. etc.

One of the scenes that I enjoyed was the:

Scene where the boys were going for a three way free-for-all. I also enjoyed Jack's failed escape from the Native Tribe.

I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Oh yes, that was amongst the most funniest scene

I agree pretty much with NoSanninWa - it wasn't what I'd call a good movie, but it was darn entertaining. Which is more than I could say after seeing Superman Returns.

I enjoyed it pretty much, except due to one of my friends showing up very late, we got horrible seats right in the front and I thought I'd have a broken neck by the end of the movie.

I don't think it was as good as the first one, but it certainly wasn't a bad movie. And who can complain about watching Orlando Bloom on the big screen anyway?

I liked it but I just thought it was more of the same, so I couldn't enjoy as much because of that.

I've been told that Chow Yun-Fat is going to be the villain in the next movie.

I missed that part too I knew I should of stayed after the credits. I also saw the movie and I thought it was awesome I thought it was great it had many unforgettable scenes in it My favorite scene was

Always stay through the credits. More and more movies are tagging on extra scenes there, and you avoid the stampede out of the theater.

As for Pirates 2 - by the end of it I had completely forgotten that it had been 2 and a half hours, and in my book that means a good movie.

That part made me so dizzy! This movie seemed to include a lot of gimmicks involving rolling...

the huge water wheel, the spherical cages the cannibals kept them in, rolling down the hill.

Still, I found it EXTREMELY entertaining! The gimmicks worked on me. They were pretty creative, I think.

Another successful gimmick: Orlando getting his shirt ripped off so he could get whipped... heh...
