^Maybe that's the point. The names all sound so plain, yet they're all considered such tasty dishes that it doesn't really matter in the end!

At this point the power levels in Toriko has surpassed One Piece, Jirou even demonstrated a planetary scale AOE attack. We just need someone to blow up a moon and we will be right up to Dragon Ball levels.

Apparently the author didn't choose those names randomly.

If you put the first letter of each ingredient except CENTER together, you obtain quite an interesting name: PAIR - ANOTHER - NEWS - GOD - AIR - EARTH - ATOM -> PANGAEA

Lots of abominations in this chapter, but I think Rampage looks super-wierd x_x So, Ichiryuu's hair used to be black? And his technique is the chopsticks, interesting...at least now we know where the meteor shower came from, the stray islands are bound to be obliterated.

lv 620!? and he defeat it along with 2 lv 400+ monster very easily?

and i dont want to see they fight with full power, its still too soon, this fight will limit 4 king power developtment in the future. have to wait for moar developtment of toriko and friend

Remember when capture levels used to be relevant? Now the writer just simply throw the big numbers in almost every fight.

Well all the beast have gotten really tough. So now we know where the meteor spice came from. Figures we have a "chopsticks" move, but it was so awesome how Ichiryuu handled the beasts with it. We learned about gravity and Midora will finally get serious. So Ichiryuu failed to kill Midora before. Wonder what started their fight. Also is it possible the Ichiryuu didn't kill Midora on purpose in the past, since he's his younger brother?

I like how Ichiryuu says that Midora has rotted a bit too much as in he has grown more evil than ever.

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	Oh man, this week's chapter is especially delicious, after having just checked out the Chinese scans: Spoiler for Toriko 246: This chapter flashes back to Ichiryuu and his gang from Biotope 0. They all split up to search different areas of the Gourmet World for Acacia's full course. However.... the Bishokukai obviously doesn't make things easy for the IGO elites. The strongest commanders all come out to prevent the good guys from reaching their goal! And naturally, that includes Midora himself, who encounters Ichiryuu at the end of the chapter...... BTW, it also looks like we finally get the names of the rest of Acacia's full course ingredients! Listing them from the order they're mentioned in the chapter, we have: -AIR -PAIR -ANOTHER -NEWS -EARTH -ATOM -Uh.... there seems to be another one, but I can't make out the name since it's in Chinese (unlike the rest, which were in English, lol ). Also, I'm really glad to see guys like Alfaro and Kuromado show up again. One of the commanders shown is also some ogre-looking guy with a bug on his head (a fusion between Tommy and Grinpatch!?). I'm pretty interested in seeing him in action. Also, we see Midora's pet: Some huge beast that looks like a cross between a leopard/jaguar and.... octopus? At least I'd have expected it to be a tiger, but it doesn't have stripes.....

Anyways, something else interesting I noticed is that: Spoiler: Out of all the Biotope 0 guys shown this chapter (and not counting the ones who defected to Neo), I noticed that Master Chin hasn't been shown so far. I figure that he'd be the one to search for Center, so maybe we'll see him in the next chapter or something? Though I sort of have the feeling that if he is taking part in this hunt, it won't be a Bishokukai, but a Neo person who gets in his way.....

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	And in this week's chapter: Spoiler for Toriko 247: Not a lot happens here, as the chapter is mainly spent setting up the battle between Ichiryuu and Midora. But what's interesting is that this chapter introduces us to a few more powerful GW beasts, all with high capture levels (case in point: The octo-cat thing Midora is riding on has a level of 620). While Melk and Atashino take on the first two beasts that appear, Ichi and Midora fly towards an island in the sky where a couple more powerful beasts join the Bishokukai leader's side. However, Ichi easily intimidates the monsters with his aura, and picks them up by demonstrating the latest in utensil-themed techniques: The Chopstick. In the end, Midora is finally about to take action himself..... Like I said, not a lot happens, but I do like that chopstick technique. BTW, one of those GW monsters, an ogre-looking creature with a capture level of 388, looks creepy enough to be Livebearer's pet, lol.
