I was reading that this Comiket/C80, Umineko is having another release of some kind. Some people were saying Umineko Rei? I'm confused as to what this really was.

It seems that there will be another Umineko release but somehow outside the main storyline. People call it "Umineko Rei" because it is supposed to be something akin to "Higurashi Rei".

It's still unknown what the title will be, and it's still unknown what it will be about. I don't think there is any confirmation that it will be released this comiket.

It's all in the air, but it's Ryuukishi himself that said he will do that so it's almost certain that sooner or later we will see it.

why did battler returned to rokkenjima? and what's his reason for returning after 6 years of absence? ,just some of few question I wanted to asked.

They explain that early on, but:

For the past six years, he had been living with Asumu's parents.
Fairly recently, both of them died. At the funeral, Rudolf came on hands and knees and begged Battler to rejoin the family.

Battler never had anything against going to Rokkenjima or against most of his family members.

He simply decided to remove himself from the family register because he didn't want to have anything to do with Rudolf anymore. From that point he wasn't an Ushiromiya anymore and therefore he was no longer qualified to attend the family meetings.

Six years laters Battler and Rudolf reconciled. Several factors helped this to happened:

1) After six years Battler was not as furious as before.
2) Both of Battler's grandparents from his mother side died and he had no longer a family to stay with.
3) He remembered that Asumu, his mother, often acted as peacemaker between them and he thought that making up with Rudulf was what his mother would want him to do.
4) Rudolf literally prostrated in from of him asking for forgivness


So Battler made peace with Rudolf, he went back living with him, Kyrie and Ange in the same house. He returned in the family registry becoming an Ushiromiya again.

At that point there was no longer any reason for him not to attend the family meetings at Rokkenjima, plus he wanted to meet again all the relatives that he missed in those 6 years.

I heard that this one was a really absurd TIP that might as well be a doujin of Umineko..

In "Rokkenjima Prime" it is implied that Battler remembered at some point, but that was probably after it was too late. Maybe he realized the truth after everyone was killed or maybe in the middle of it, there is no way to tell.

It's quite an important TIP, I would say.
I'll try translating it (if somebody else has already done that, please notify me), but it shouldn't be read before EP7, if not EP8.

To give an overview on what the TIP's content is:

It's basically a Umineko version of what was said about the creation of the witch Bernkastel in Higurashi Rei's Saikoroshi-hen.
BATTLER talks about his duty as an eternal gamemaster...and it get's quite grotesque quite early on.

i don't think so,I think it's implied in ep2 and ep7 that remembered the promise but he didn't know the truth about Shannon,kanon and Beatrice .wait I completely forgot about the letter in ep7,I think it's a hint whether he remember or not.

BUT illusion of eternal Beatrice sleep breaks in ep8 when we see her in good-health, furthermore she and Battler didn't know what happened in "requiem". So for whom Battler has written a game record and why the hell no any remarks in Twilight, Tsubasa either? Maybe I have answer, but isn't she died to give Battler "truth".

It's not spelled out or anything, so take this with a grain of salt, but... As I understood it, the person that Battler laid to rest in the chapel was a representation of Yasu's Beatrice, the one who died in EP5 and could never be revived. The one that married him and then showed up in EP8 is the one that he created himself in the original's image. They're based on the same character template, but they aren't one continuous person being killed and revived over and over again.

The story Battler put in the coffin wasn't a game record in the sense of fighting against somebody. It was more like a happy ending for Beatrice that no one would ever be able to read or tamper with, since he deliberately made its contents into a perfect cat box. It probably didn't have anything to do with the fragment Bern made, since Bern wouldn't have any way of learning what was in it.

(EDIT: But you've made me notice something strange. The prologue of EP7 never did actually use Beatrice's name, did it?)

Name Beatrice was never spoken in the prologue. You already know Aurora's truth about ep1-5 Beatrice "that Beatrice will never revive again"(Again? She did before?). Yasu created new Beato for Battler, because mission of old one was finished (six years ago sin). So we have not other persons exept Yasu for the role of Sleeping Beauty. Now first-person view is impossible (eyes closed), animators have to draw her or skip this scene as usual.

I can't tell if that's what you're thinking, but I thought of Battler's game of EP8, which was a story for Ange. I don't think the book is EP7 at least. I think it makes some sense that the one lying in the coffin could actually be Ange. The EP7 ???? scene between Ange and Battler might be about the first scene of EP7, with Battler giving Ange the story that is EP8. He might have some complicated feelings about Ange too, not being there for her when their family died. It makes some things about EP8 confusing though, as how Bernkastel gets to interfere and the obvious problem of Ange being dead. I have only read EP8 as far as the current English patch lets me, so there might be some clarification later on. This theory ties the somewhat separate feeling of EP7's first scene to the overall story. But it probably makes most sense that the one in the coffin is Yasu/Beatrice.

I seem to remember the original announcement to claim it would be "another disk like tsubasa". So likely a collection of TIPS, likely including new ones.

The one in the coffin is representing Beatrice in general, so any Beatrice can be in that coffin. It's not Yasu, because he is alive as Lion in the EP7 Kakera and not the Kuwadorian Beatrice, because she still fell from the cliff and Yasu/Lion was given to Natsuhi.
Yes, the EP7 world does not make much sense. But I think that is a given, because it's a closed, inconsistent world which was created by Bernkastel in order to find the truth. She warped all the inconsitencies together and portrayed them so naturally that they became obvious (e.g. Shannon and Kanon not knowing Lion and vice versa).

What Battler put into the coffin was, at least for me, really a happy end to Yasu like LyricalAura proposed. It was a happy future together with him that they could never have. Remember that in the EP7 construction Battler never made it to the funeral...he was always unable to say goodbye.

I think in the coffin is the role of "Beatrice" which had all the blame put on her. If you think about it, she was the most miserable and she is the one put to rest in EP7. She was used by Yasu, Battler, Ange...basically anybody who wanted to cloak the truth with a comfortable lie.

Yasu never created a new Beatrice. Basically all s/he ever did was to create the image of Beatrice as she was later presented to us in EP1 and 2.
Even when the Beatrice in the metaworld origined in Yasu, it's basically not even Yasu's Beatrice, but the image of Beatrice that Yasu wanted the readers to have (a horrible witch who murdered innocent people).

The Beatrice that revived in EP6 was created by Battler. It was not the same as Yasu's Beatrice, because it didn't have the same background, the same information. So basically Battler was unable to write THAT Beatrice.
And the Beatrice in EP8 is again not really Yasu's Beatrice, though I think it's not Battler's Beatrice either...

EP8 symbolizes the battle of those who want to guard the truth against those who want to rip it out. So basically all the characters from Rokkenjima are really just "characters" here...they want to guard the chance of happiness for people like Ange. And that was what Beatrice was originally about.

However, we can't give peace to role of "Beatrice". She appears as Clarine and as "Beatrice" of ep7 Tea Party for Bernkastel's pleasure. Since there are two gameboards, your version not such wrong, but her last sleep only in the mind of Battler.

Can't think of what thread to go to to post this so I figure this might be the most appropriate...
I'm planning to make a bookcase for my room that has three partitions, one will be to fill with manga and anime and the like, the other will be a desk with areas for figures and such. I want to make an adjoining part about a foot or more wide which will connect the two and want it to have a compartment which uses the epitaphs puzzle to open, I already have Beatos portrait and an epitaph transcription in my room but I need to figure out how to build the compartment, figure people here might be able to throw me some ideas on how to build it.

So as anyone whos finished EP7 and knows the answer to the epitaph knows, the parameters to open such a device would be to remove, or in my case at the very least shift away the Q A I L I and N out of Quadrillion so that all your left with is U D R L and O, I need to find a way to make it so that you must do this before you can move D and R apart and then there needs to be a way to rearange the letters to become L O R D U and then push each of them through to open the door.

Obviously coming here I have no idea how to go about this, makes me regret not taking robotics in high school, I probably could have done something, unless I can find a thorough guide online or something to build it with wires I gotta find a way to make it with wood.

So far my only idea is to use a marble device where you need to raise the sacrificed letters which would release the marble, allowing it to fall down and into impressions in a following ramp which it would be pushed upward and onward by pushing in the right letter at the right point (L being the highest piece and U being the lowest) and then it would weigh down on the lock at the end opening it, ofc this would take a while to re-arm but as long as long as i can get the epitaph device.

Anyways, I figure this is going to be hard for me to figure out but I figured if anyone is interested in thinking about it they could give me some ideas

Depends on how "high tech" you want to make it. It could probably be done easily with buttons and logic gates, but here's how I would do it:

Get a bunch of key locks of the same brand so the keys will fit whichever one (but only unlock its specific lock) and put them on all the letters. Put them in a slot thing shaped like |-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-| so they can be swapped and slid around. The keys would turn a set of teeth so when LORDU is spelled (or whatever word you want to use) it unlocks a second lock for the door.

Then carelessly and indiscriminately curse it with as much black magic as you can find!

Well, like I said I really wish I had taken robotics in high school cuz I know if I had I could do this easily, I figure setting up buttons behind holes that only LORDU would fit through and make it so removing the other pieces released the buttons and enabled the LORDU release to be pressed, so although I know the logic of it, I don't know how to build a device like that, maybe I can find something on youtube...

I thought of using keys aswell however I think it'd probably be hard to turn the keys if they're square or something so it'd be better if I could simply push it in (gouge, haha) I think I'm going to have to find out how to use buttons properly
