Man, I can't wait. Unfortunately I'm located in one of the places with later release date.

Looked at the interview, the combat is starting to look a bit more like Borderlands.

I dunno but it just reminds me of Borderlands for some reason.

BioWare's main page currently has a poll up asking which class you'll be playing in ME2.

Surprised to see the Engineer is not very popular, I'd figure people would like playing a pet class.

That is because the Engineer is seriously underpowered and not of much use to the team, as compared to choosing an Infiltrator or Sentinel.

The Vanguard is incredibly powerful with a maxed out shotgun and biotic skills like barrier and warp. Since most environments are bound by tight places, it is easy to set biotic traps and blow anyone who gets close with a shotgun. You can in fact, take down a Geth Juggernaut with a single shot with a shotgun, 2 scram rails and HE rounds. Even an infiltrator is not as useful.

Soldier is the easiest class to play, but too boring for my taste. I would choose infiltrator for tactical advantage, and Sentinel if I want to rush my way through.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

idk how it would, mass effect came out way before borderlands, and the combat is pretty much the same thing.

Yeah having 343 Guilty Sparks do your fighting for you and hacking into enemies to have them kill each other is way underpowered

You know what would make it better?

1. Burst mode : Fire off miniature missiles from a backpack

2. Summon/build emplacements.

3. Bunny ears like Inaba's from Touhou that fire laser beams from its tips.

The Subject Zero Fight for the Lost video is up on the official website.

BioWare decided to give her clothes. Specifically a skin tight vest and some pants. She's still got the harness though, it's worn over the vest.

I gotta say, she's looking to be my favorite new character right now. I was on the fence earlier, but that vid totally won me over. What a badass.

In general, pet classes are never all that popular unless they are overpowered and/or have really cool looking pets. I don't think the Engineers fulfill either requirement, unless they allow you to take control of mechs or something.

... Uh, you can. AI Hacking no simply makes robotic enemies berserk, it actually turns them to your side. Like a Charm ability.

Well, it's not a permanent thing, you can't just charm a mech, then take it everywhere with you, and customize it and what not.

Anyways, from what I've read, there doesn't seem to be any kind of gameplay perks that come from being a Engineer as your main class as opposed to just taking an Engineer as one of your squad mates.

You don't take an Engineer as a squadmate, not really. None of the squadmates have the same classes as any of the ones Shep can be. Hell, even within the same archetype they are not at all the same. For example Thane follows the Infiltrator archetype but has Biotic abilities, not Tech. Meanwhile, SuZe is like a Vanguard but she's purely biotic with no combat abilities. And each of them only has 4 abilities, one of them unique to their character that Shepard himself can only obtain through Bonus Talents (which work differently).

Okies I take back saying I wanted to pump MIranda full of metal. I reserve all of that for this piece of work. Since I played FemShephard in most of my ME1 playthroughs, I can see this is not going to work out well between Jane Shephard and SuZe.

While SuZe appears to have better facial features than Miranda, the full body tatoos and baldness are a definite turn off x 9000. DO NOT WANT!

Sad thing is even with the baldness and tatoos I would still boink SuZe over Miranda.
