From what the anime has shown, the Executioners seem to be a pretty decent threat. In the first half you could say their teamwork evened out any advantage Natsu and Wendy would normally have. Sure Natsu and Wendy have gone on some missions, but they haven't often had to team up in a 2v2 situation.

The only 1v1 I'm having issues with is Mira vs Kamika. Really that should be over pretty quickly once Mira actually starts fighting. May not have that much of a battle streak in her, but should consider that she doesn't have the time to waste talking to her opponent.

A reasonably tough situation for Lucy and Yukino's group and Lily. Tough with no magic in that situation and tough for Lily to melee against someone throwing acid around.

Not sure how the manga went at it, but anime has done a good job making these people believable opponents.

Garou Knights vs Natsu & Co.
This should be very interesting.
It was certainly fun watching them fight ^^
Those Knights have interesting powers too.
It doesn't look like they're gonna quit anytime soon.
And no one is currently winning either.
Guess they're gonna be a serious problem for Fairy Tail.
The fight in the streets ain't progressing much either.

This season is shaping up really well.

I like how the humor is worked in FT style and doesn't really take away from the rest of it IMO. There were moments of comedy, but also certain scenes came off very dramatic in a good way, like Arcadios walking through the lava.

In the manga the knights didn't seem like much of a threat at the end of the day, and really seemed like a minor nuisance. Here they seem like much, much more formidable opponents.

The episode titles aren't "leaked" they're specifically advertised.

But yeah, they've slowed the pacing and are extending the fights.

Though in general, I think these fights took just a little bit longer in the manga than people realized.

One of the better episodes for FT this week. I don't mind the extra fillers for the enemy, its tactfully fits well with the humor.

Finally caught up on the new season. SO happy the show is back on.

I must admit, these past 2 episodes are probably my favorite of the show. The Wolf Knights seem to be a really major obstacle for the gang. Even though, it seems like they're just toying with Lucy's group.

I don't read the manga so I don't know what they're like in that, but I'm liking them as villains in this.

I wonder if the knights every know why they are killing the criminals, or they just do as they are told.

I just watched episode 180 last night, and I want to praise the episode for its quality and flawless injection of filler into canon. There were a lot of gags and dialogue added that didn't feel out of place, and even if in the end I realized the episode delayed the FT vs. Garou Knights fight too much, it actually felt natural while I was watching it, which is great! Also the Natsu and Wendy team up was so naturally done, I won't be surprised if Mashima was involved somehow with this episode

I'm excited to watch episode 181 tonight, I'm only waiting for my cousin to finish his homework

So, any news about the full version of the opening song? I would really want to download it soon!

from watching watching the latest episode, at least this one's animation was a bit better than the previous, but the conversations that they put in of other characters are rather boring.

i really don't like how they have destroyed Mira's character, she is suppose to be the lovely kind girl who turns into a dangerous demon when she uses her magic. but now when she uses take over magic it just feels like putting on a battle suit same as erza.
the first time in the entire series when they introduced her magic against freed was the best they showed mira's magic ever.
i really liked the Demonic Mirajane, but they have completely spoiled it now.

and has anyone noticed, ever since the series started again, there has been no significant dialogue of Erza let alone any screen time, in the previous series she was like one of the lead. so was that the doing of anime production and in the original manga is she like a secondary character, only focused on when required?

The anime's changed nothing about Erza's role. That's simply a function of her not being particularly involved in these chapters, thus she's not particularly involved in the anime episodes. She didn't invite herself along for the trip to the dragon's graveyard so she wasn't involved in that part, she's not on the rescue team, so she isn't involved in that part, and she wasn't involved in Gray's fight, so she wasn't involved in that part.

that is lot where she is not involved, usually she has some involvement one way or the other, even if she is shown as just tagging along, seems like the only part where she will be focused in this arc is her battle with Minerva and Kagura.
not that i want any focus on her, i was just surprised that she hasn't appeared in the last six episodes.

In the Edolas arc Erza didn't appear (If you don't count Knightwalker) for almost the first half of the arc until
her battle against Erza Knightwlker

Scarlet or Knightwalker, Erza is Erza , ya but you pointed out a good instance, but all i was mentioning was that, they are not showing her as often they did on the previous series. but may be i might be feeling that way because i am comparing the entire previous series to the newly released six episodes,
frankly i don't mind even if they don't show her at all till her battle, only characters i am looking for in this arc are Rogue,Sting and Kagura.

another "almost full filler" episode with a lot of comedy, with lucy, looks like their are really streching the pace of the anime to make sure not too soon gonna catch the manga or at last this arc, their are making him really a long arc.

Overall a good chance for Lucy and Yukino to do their thing. Though certainly shows all the training put in that Lucy could summon that many spirits without collapsing. A surprisingly difficult guy to put down with the variety of area effects he could create. Series remains as crazy as always with how sometimes the spirits will come through on their own to help out and sometimes not. At least it was a pretty flashy fight.

Certainly seems at the moment that Wendy has gotten herself into the toughest spot there. Once again her problem with sour food has come back to haunt her .

I always figured she skipped the dragon graveyard and Eclipse visit because she would've wrecked the Defense Minister's troops even without magic. IOW, the plot required her absence.

Seeing Loke again put a smile on my face.
It was nice Lucy could use her magic again.
Things really got crazy with celestial magic in the mix.
At least it was an action filled fun fest!
The ice thing made me laugh quite a lot.
That weird -tai guy had quite a lot of different magic at his disposal.
Wonder what is his secret?
All the different powers made him an interesting challenge.
This episode provided a nice display of celestial spirit magic.
Great episode!

OK, so I just had to throw my 2-cents here...

Am I the only one extremely disappointed with the new season so far?? I mean, I adore Fairy Tail, but the animation, OST, and pacing for the last several episodes have been downright awful. For comparison sake, I re-watched a (very) minor fight from the first season (Episode 36 - Natsu vs the Owl guy, Tower of Heaven Arc) and that fight got me a ton more excited than what could've been an epic fight between Gray and Rufus, or any of the other fights shown so far in this season.

I dunno.....am I crazy? I'm just not feeling it.

^ as to answer your question no you are not the only one, i am also very disappointed in the new series, the previous series was clearly far better. what i don't understand is that how can they take a break and then return with low quality stuff, are the trying to save money by lowering the quality or what?,

and for this weeks episode, well atleast the filler action was better, it was an action packed episode, but instead of just stretching the action blindly, they should try to make it more intense and if they can't come up with good humor then don't put humor at all and make things serious for sometime. The humor from the past few episodes is just bad.
Aquarius's scary face at the end was nice though.

another difference i have noticed is the soundtrack, in previous series, the sound editing was great and added up to the feeling of the scene, now i just don't find it anymore.

It's really not just you, the quality of the show has somehow suffered and I can't quite pinpoint where since the action filler that we've been getting is mostly spot on yet it still doesn't pump me up like the old show did... At first I thought it was just me getting used to the tweaked character designs but now I'm not so sure. Maybe it's the fact that it's been far too long since the arc started that I've started to forget the details that served to frame the battles and raise the stakes.

Btw this episode felt a lot better. I liked how Lucy and Yukino where anything but useless now that they've gotten their keys back but I have to admit that, by the end of the episode, it was starting to feel a bit hard to believe how that guy can be so insanely resilient to all those attacks. I guess that's the downside of padding the fights: you almost always make one of the sides look either too powerful or too weak (or both).

It also took me a while to adjust to Leo's new design even if it does make perfect sense for him to have a couple of "ears" as his hairdo. He is a lion after all
