Well, Kaneki managed to stop his kakauja in this fight, though it would have been awesome seeing it against arata proto II like how it was in the manga.
This time things has gone different, so I guess a different ending might happen. Eto such a cute daughter with her father.

the Arima problem in the anime is that with the exception one flashback scene, anime hardly played in his name, for those who only see the anime did not imagine the monster he was, which is different from the manga that we often had references to his name and achievements.

Noooo! Shinohara! Why did you have to die instead of Juzou? And what's up with the Owl not finishing off Juzou? That was just plot armor filled with no sense whatsoever. I was looking forward to the end of Juzou, since he's the only character I don't like on this show. Seriously! Why did an awesome character like Shinohara have to take the hit in place of Juzou?
Well, next week is the last episode. I'm not sure what to expect anymore. Ken is not beating up any final boss. He is not the strongest. Eto is doing strange things, since she is the one that orchestrated Anteiku getting attacked, yet she saves her father in the end. Overall, though, the police force took a huge hit in casualties, with the heavy hitters mostly surviving due to plot armor reasons.

I'll just copy and paste on what I said from another form. I'm just going to fix a little bit of errors, I made earlier in my post from another form.
Maybe I missed a scene, but how the hell did Hide escape from Noro? Anyways, Amon vs Kaneki was whatever, although Eto vs Armia kept me a little entertained. I'm just confused to why they didn't kept the scene were Spoiler:
I can't believe they're going to skip how Spoiler:

Ok, this show when it comes to the big picture definitely makes me confused more than anything else. I still didn't get what the ghouls are trying to do.
In all of this seeing Kaneki-Kira no-kill policy in this bloodbath also feels a bit, mmm, inappropriate? Despite the episode being an action packed one I liked Juuzu moments he looked like a kid, poor him. - I want more Akira and Amon next episode !! - So it was Eto! - Kaneki seems always underpowered, that's another confusing point. - Arima, who? But the most interesting thing is that finally Kaneki's friend joined the party, very curious to see what he knows and what he is trying to accomplish, unless it won't end up being the we-are-bestfriends-but-from-now-on-even-enemies because he will become a dove. Touka also will join them for a cup of coffee I suppose.

No V14. What a let down. At least Amon vs Kaneki was good. Great, even.
They seem to be going for an anime original ending, I wonder how they plan on ending Tokyo Ghoul. They could still get back on track if they want to though, it's not too late. The only major inconsistency I can think of with :re is Spoiler:
The rest can be fixed in the next episode if they rush through the material like they've been doing since the start.

I think...I've enjoyed this season (didn't enjoy season 1 at all). It blatantly throws things from the manga without any background, but that's what gives this season its charm. I almost consider it a slice of life, in the truest terms, with its almost lack of real plot, climax, etc. Lots of threads are obviously never going to be finished, and I'm actually ok with that. That's kind of how real life works.
Anyway, Hide x Kaneki will presumably have a bromastic talk to end the season, and maybe Kaneki will be just a little more at peace with what he is and the world around him? Also, with the fighting centered around the coffee shop...it's just a strange place to find sanctuary from the battle. :/
