F*** yes, Sugar Sweet Nightmare.

As for what Araragi is doing in a trashcan... well, I can't say for certain, as anything is possible, but going by past experiences with the series, I'm going to go out on a limb and say: Talking?

It's not going to be the actual theme song for Black, but it's nice they brought it back.

No, I wouldn't expect it would be. Still a nice nod.

When this was first announced, fans could enter to win tickets to the Festival and see it prior to going on TV. Rejection notices just went out and...everyone has a bit of humor about it.

Animate in Akihabara had a very small exhibition with storyboard-like cuts... but photos were not allowed

Opening and Ending Themes for Nekomonogatari Black have been decided!

Opening Theme is "perfect slumbers" by Hanekawa Tsubasa (Horie Yui)
It gathers together her feelings of the "nine-day nightmare" in a smooth melody.
Lyrics by meg rock, music by Kousaki Satoru

Ending Theme is Kawano Marina's "Kieru daydream" (Vanishing daydream)
She sings a dashful melody inspired by the complicated relationship of Araragi Koyomi and Hanekawa Tsubasa.
Lyrics by Kodama Saori, music by Kousaki Satoru

So is the 2-hour special all there is going to be for Neko Black, or is there more to the story?

The novel was adapted in four episodes (aired over 2 hours), so that's it.

Skip the Tsukihi and Karen part and go straight to Hanekawa part...
You'll find good ol' Bakemonogatari there...

So the fun really starts at episode two? Okay, I'll give this one more shot and that's it. Thank you.

You've also skipped Nisemonogatari, right?

Licensed by Aniplex of America(along with Monogatari Series 2nd season) and will get streamed "this summer"

Even though I thought Bakemonogatari was average at best, I am looking forward to watching Nekomonogatari because Tsubasa is much much better than "Tsundere-chan".
