And that's a minimum. Yoshiki writes one hell lot of text in each chapter, easily ten times that of your typical manga.

wow over 100 episodes would be cool, but how many Shojo shows out there have over 100 episodes?

Well Nana first season was 52 eps... at volume 13 or something!
So S2 might have same length, so total would go over 100

Omg...you kidding? :|

I'm going to regret I read the manga again. I loved it too much. Weird heroines = BEST. Too bad it's in autumn though =__=

75 episodes? wow, that's a lot, but there's a lot of meat to the story in my opinion, so it will definitely be a show to look forward to when it airs.

That's actually quite small for shoujo. Marmalade boy had 76 episodes made out of measly 8 volumes of material. If ordinary shows use ~1.25 chapter /episode, with say three times more material per chapter in Skip Beat and 125 chapters out right now - you get something along the line of 300 episodes. Now throw in the time required to air them, and guess how many chapters will come out during that time .

Kirarin Revolution has more than 100 and is still churning them out.

More importantly, two Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime series make up in total 103 episodes so this studio has experience in making long-running shoujo anime and can probably find the funds necessary.

Cool this is one of those animes that I would want to follow. You know now that I think about it so far three of Viz Media's current runing Shojo Beat line of Manga have a anime adaptation.

HAL haven't done a series with over 51 episodes yet but they are very sequel friendly as you should notice looking over there line up of work on ANN (which I posted a link to on the first page here). Personally I'm expecting 26 episodes with a second series to come in 2009/2010 and one more if needed after that (depending on if the manga is still going or not).

I'm just hoping we won't wind up with a bunch of fillers. I can just imagine weeks worth of Kyoko trying to earn points. ^^; However, given the number of volumes, it should turn out all right.

I'm kind of concerned about the art. I've always found the males' faces a little too narrow for my liking and the characters with crazy legs (I'm kind of getting Sailor Moon deja vu now), but somehow the mangaka makes it look good. Whether the studio can do the same is another story!

There is enough material to fill the anime even without extra fillers

Your punctuation sucks, hope I understood what you've tried to say correctly.
"Patalliro!" had 75 episodes, so you are wrong.

yeah, which means that we'll all the more strangle the producers if they actually add fillers lol. It will still depend on the filler though, I wouldn't mind a fun filler~!
