Regardless, like KiNA mentioned, series mojo can go a long way with a lot of people around here.

yesh info about Muk Loar... I heard it before... but never knew the meaning of it.
And i thought OOC was out of combat damn wow corrupting me. As for your banner ice climber. The Ayu render seems to be of bad quality. Or something is wrong about it either color or contrast. Though i do think Ayu is popular enough.

Murk Loar is actualy a word play on Lurk More.. a meme for 4chans ...
Its usually used when some anon asking stupid well known fact.. As for old series definition... If it have a strong followers, bets are its ok.. series like AIR, AMG, FSN, FMA are probably OK to use.. But having anime Simca from Air Gear, probably wont garner enough interest.. Even tho Simca is one hot bomb herself >.<

Looks nice, Slightly to bright at the lower center imo. But that is personal. Another thing is i'm not to sure if it convey sky enough. I would know the theme is sky when seeing it. But a unknown person might not relate it to sky when seeing it. And the font seems a bit out of place. The look is a bit to aggressive compare to the soft look of the overall banner. But that is just imho.

My gad. Last I came down I swear your thread was at 12 pages o.o
Anyway, for the Ayu tentative banner, I think Animesuki and Forums should be together. It's also too bright towards the center. As for the Asa tentative, well, a part of hair got behind the clouds xD; As for all the banners, I think you try revising the sky. It's too gradient-looking. Make the blue-to-white somewhat dome like, and maybe add some very transparent fog. Also, I'd probably pick a deeper shade of blue, but that's just me - maybe too much AIR and sola xD; Now, for Primula, indeed her head seems a tad too large. I'd probablt say that it could pass as okay if it were more a realistic drawing; but anime girls have micro-shoulders, so yeah. And I've had the same problems regarding the "it-looked-quite-alright-on-paper"!! I heard that drawing on an inclined surface helps, since our perception on a flat surface tends to make us adjust accordingly. Of course, this doesn't translate well when the paper is held straight. Finally, for all your artworks, I'd suggest on you making the outlines much more stronger and definite. Try to do shapes in as less strokes as possible. Mighty great works you've posted in the last three pages, keep it up. |

I just have to do this: 300 GET!
Anyway, that Ayu banner does look good, but does it have to look so washed out? Can you bring the brightness down some so it doesn't look like a blob of light? And SweetHoney's comment about the left side is right... I think it has to do with the way the cloud looks against Ayu's wing. btw, I would like to see your comments about my banners! |
