I'm currently reading the manga Dogs by Miwa Shirou , and I notice a lot of striking parallels between that one and Black Cat. The guns don't count because guns are everywhere, but

Spoiler:

the Naoto chick in chapter 3 of Dogs has a very very similar past to Train in Black Cat. Then there's this "angel" chick who is saved just like Eve is, dresses in black like Eve, even has wings, etc, etc.

These really struck me, though I don't want to accuse either mangaka of "copying" the other.

What did you like or dislike about Black Cat it the Anime or the Manga?

I liked it because it was an interesting story, but it wasn't perfect. I still felt as if it had some plot holes. I think it's because I felt the creator originally wanted to go one direction, but then decided to go another.

My opinion- there was only one thing wrong with the manga, and that was at the very end:

When Train faces Creed for the last time, it seemed like he relied upon the spirit of Saya just a little too much. Sure, by the end he was finally able to move on, but he fell to the problem of most heroes: he became too nice, and let the bad guy live (even if that did keep a certain pairing alive). Even though i doubt there's going to be a sequel to black cat, I think train or someone would find out why it's a very, very bad mistake to let the final boss live... well, either that, or I wanted to see a little more of the Black cat in him.

and the anime... well, I haven't seen much of the anime to draw any conclusion

Stick with the manga, Train isn't the emo-fest that he is at the beginning of the anime.

It's quite entertaining, for a fan of the manga. It's different from the manga in various areas, but it's still good there. The last arc was... so-so and odd, but it doesn't ruin much. If you are a fan of Black Cat, be sure to watch it~

To think the manga-ka of this is writing that To-Love-Ru thing now... Haa, zetsuboushita! Shimashita!

the beginning of the anime is very good but the ending imo was really crappy >.<

This is without a doubt my favorite manga. I got into it after I watched the anime (also amazing). To me, it is the perfect combination of comedy and action.
