Just finished the Kyou arc episode.

Well, here are my own personal thoughts on this--

Spoiler for Kyou Arc Episode Detailed Review-- sorta :P:

First thing you'll notice is the part in which the OVA started. From that point on you could've cut the whole Fujibayashi arc in half, making it miss the parts where the relationship would have developed better. But since we're limited to less than 20mins of airtime, the start is good enough to cover ground, since they had scenes of Ryou and Tomoya developing the relationship during their monologues.

Unlike the Tomoyo arc episode, the pacing of this one felt hurried. Even if both episodes tackled a scenario that is lengthy, the mere fact that the Fujibayashi scenario talks about twins and not a single person makes the load of the anime very difficult, since they had to show and bring tension to the relationship since it is a love triangle between a guy and two twins. There could have been a stronger way to do this, like hauling in the part where Kyou keeps on going for Ryou to be with Tomoya or having the confession part done in a way that was done in the VN (the VN version of the confession felt stronger than this one). One particular scene in the VN--

If this scene would be included then it would make things more interesting for the end of the scenario-- but yeah, by doing so will add extra minutes to it and change the whole production for it and call for a 3-ep OVA. LOL.

As for the end of the scenario, the anime's rendition was too hurried (well, despite that the whole episode was already hurried, right o_O). The tension between Tomoya and Kyou wasn't well-shown in the resolution, making my anxiety towards 'how will they resolve this?' part dissolve too quickly. The VN version had it better, where--

HOWEVER--

The most powerful scene in this episode, which I believe, is where Kyou finally gets to say the words she wanted to tell Tomoya (starting 21:12 <?>) up until Kyou grabs his arm and hugs it like no other, with both of them looking up towards tomorrow. It was in these few minutes of the episode that I felt the relief and the love of Kyou for her one and only Tomoya. This part alone gave me goosebumps and made myself identify with the reality of their relationship. This definitely held and captured the very essence of this scenario-- the dilemma of sibling love as against the sibling rivalry for the one they love, and the strength to go for something (or someone) you love or like and by doing so you will(or may) have to hurt someone close to you in return

Oops. I got carried away there. LoL. It's just I love this title and CLANNAD itself, so there. XD
Long story short--

All in all, this episode is a mix of hurried pacing and direction. However, with their emphasis on the part where one finally resolves their own unrequited love made watching this episode worthwhile-- while conveying the story of Kyou, Ryou and Tomoya.

In two words: This ep rawks. rawr. XD

The thing that lost the most with this rush the tension. Other than that I felt some scenes unneccessary.
Question: Kyou after Doujin Game is going to have a sequel?

Don't think so. Even if it has, it should be something like Kanon, filled with H-scenes and triggers.

Kyou with short hair is totally epic.

There isn't a Kyou After officially but there is a fan-made game called Kyou After.

They wrestle over with "Ryou" trying to hold on to Tomoya and Tomoya trying to push her off. "Ryou" starts to cry, then starts speaking. It was only at this time Tomoya realizes that "Ryou" was actually Kyou, and the explanation goes after that. Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.
