Ah, sorry for this late reply. I didn't notice...

Of course I used to take Japanese classes to learn foundations. After all, foundations are important IMO.
When you learn some existent of foundations, you will notice which part is foundations or applications. That's the start.

I know some foreigners who don't speak Japanese almost, most of them neglect to learn foundations.
btw, in most cases, women who came from other countries speak Japanese fluently. I'm suspecting female has a mysterious ability of language by nature.

Well in Europe at least, Women were FAR more likely to have to suddenlly take up Scandinavian languages
