I wrote this in 2000. It's been published. I think I was a semi-finalist in the contest and I could've gotten a plaque and a free copy of the book it was in but I'm too shy for all that... ^_^ Sorry, Montel.

~Lonely One~

Staring at this barred window
Tears slide down my face
Wishing, praying, please don't go
I'm falling from your grace

Our hour of love is so far gone
And yet I still feel you
Waiting, imprisoned, for so long
So sad-you feel it, too

I'd rather live this pain alone
Than see you suffering
For this cold and lonely drone
Is all our love will bring

No one seems to understand
All the sorrow they have caused
And on this dead-blackened-land
Our memories have paused

For if I could hold one single day
In the palm of my empty hand
I'd give us wings to fly away
And live a life so grand

BLANK DOCUMENT

Please insert meaning here

Let us sit comfortably through the 21st century
with the godzillions of indestructible oldsters
Be careful not to disturb them, they sleep rather fitfully
Noises and bright lights are disruptive; if you must talk please do so inaudibly

And for lunch . . .

spicy foods are out, I’m afraid
so few of us can handle that stuff any more
but this mush is wonderful
all warm and squishy - nothing to chew
speaking of warm and squishy, what’s on the tube ?
oh! Look! These talk shows are just the greatest thing!
I don’t know what I’d have to talk about if it wasn’t for Ricki
I just wish I could get people up there like that and tell them what I think.

Let us sit comfortably through the 21st century
our remote controls can only handle the TV -
but sometimes I wish I had one that could turn off all the noise in the street -
and one to make everything slow down -
and another one to make people mind their manners.

Gee, I’m tired
thinking about all this just gets me agitated.
I need to relax quietly for a while
please turn off the light.

Red face

Who's the Reflection.....

I see a face, somewhat recognizable
I see these eyes, they hold him within, but not this present self
I see long hair, he wears it to hide from reality
I see ears, they take the sounds of past loves
I see a nose, it looks the same
I see a mouth, that which has tasted forbidden fruit
I see hands, which have felt bitter victory
I see his heart, so full of emptiness
I see scars, these of memories not forgotten
I see glasses, so he can see reality from another’s eyes
I see a jacket, he wears it so they know him
I see his shirt, his fathers long past
I see a hair band, around his wrist so he won’t forget
I see the backpack, on of memories still held
I see fullness, full of hope of faith of love
I see emptiness, of hope of faith of love
I see happiness, a false belief to mask his emotions
I see hope, hope that one day he will be himself
I see love, maybe there is still some inside
I see longing, for something forgotten
I see him, in a light so clean, so pure
I see him, basking in darkness, hiding in shadows
I see her, standing by his side
I see his virginity, still held within, waiting to be unmasked
I see this, I see that, I see things of hidden
That face, those eyes, that hair
And though I can not perceive the change
They say, ‘to live, is to change’

.....I know it's not much and you guys are the first to read this but a few (two) of my friends. I got the last line from Hideaki Anno, who wrote 'Neon Gensis Evangelion.' Please IM or PM me with criticism or anything else.

Diabolistic: what a bittersweet tale of woe. I hope that when I pass on my last words are spoken in verse

Heres my poem which I affectionately call:
The hands that held me to the string had broken-

When toast is here
There's nothing to fear

I got afraid of what I heard
I saw you kawai nice bride bruses
Cause you know your bad
Tits large love and saturated boddy
offering spring Hot on me in the summer spring
fuck on you baby under "Popotan's" sky
You know I like it, the way you do it
Bad girl likes bad boys style twisted mind
Rough life clubs flyers Happy barbie's clothes
Sweety likes my barbarian's files and dangerous mind
Just avoid the "liaison dangeureuse" I mean
Just dont come to fuck him when you know he's hers
Anyway, always be frivolous chics playin it
Making fun of the absolutly delicious me
Time and change would have take us apart but
Now only one way to live by scandelous..

^^ lotta fun

This is absolutly discusting I know I'm not like that. But this is what happens when you watch too much hentai..

Wow, it's been a while.... I didn't plan on doing this again. Well, a minor, one-time memorial service can't hurt. Anyway, with all those new Mods we've been getting, we haven't really been doing our "AnimeSuki Moderator's baptism of fire". One of the holy, unwritten rules (made by me); Anyone who wants to be a Mod here must first survive the horror of being publically humiliated through a lousy spoof (depending on the song, some have reason to feel more humiliated than others). Every active Mod up to Nightwish has been through this, now it's Flash_Squirrel's turn. I won't mention which melody this is, you can consider yourself a very lucky person if you can't recognize it...

*AHEM*

He wants to be the very best like no Mod ever was
To lock threads is his real test, to scold n00bs is his cause
He will butcher your every post, if you break the rules.
The forum sheep will understand the power in his tools

FLASH_SQUIRREL!! Gotta lock 'em all!
He's watching you, you'd better know what to do,
FLASH_SQUIRREL!!
Ooooooohh he'll teach you some, if you break the rules you're gone!

FLASH_SQUIRREL!! Gotta lock 'em all!
His heart is truuuueee, in his name he'll punish you
You will fear when he draws near,
FLASH_SQUIRREL!!!!
Gotta lock 'em all,
Gotta lock 'em all
FLASH_SQUIRREL!!

NOW you're a real Mod, Flash_Squirrel! Dry behind ears, come of age and all that

Now, if you'll excuse me... I've actually started to like the theme song after playing it 10 times throughout the process, just to make sure the rythm stays the same... I'm gonna delete the damn mp3 that did this to me, while I still have some sanity left, then take a long shower.

Depress-ness of my friend expressed here, nothing good, just wanted to post it.

Tangled in this web of lies,
lost within your heart's demise.
Tears do fall,
telling all,
but is it all, just another lie?
And yet, why, why do we cry?
Why do we want to change it all?
To please all, to be perfect?
Is it possible that,
the one moment in the center of the web,
where you feel happy for even that one second,
is worth yet another entanglement?
In this web of life's lies, where
emotions do weep
and people are blinded
by their dreams inside.

Giving this thread somewhat but a bump (it's less than a week old, so hopefully it's not much of a problem) to post some of my actual, non-parody poetry. I keep it in my math notebook usually, and remembered it today.

---

The moon
A crumpled empty coat lies where a homeless man melted into the sidewalk. Meanwhile, the street is liquid and a coalition of cats paddles through the sludgy tar on a makeshift raft. The door of the 7-11 bursts open and a scraggly-haired man screams, holding his hands to his face and his eyes wide open in terror. The sun burns red behind yellow clouds, and the moon is right here in Copley Square, darling, slowly sinking into the grass.

---

The sky and earth are bleached and I am tanned.
I straggle through this hostile land,
looking for that goddamn door so that I might return
to a heaven where I dreamt of sand.

---

A Girl's True Desire (a takeoff on the previous meter and rhyme-scheme)
Stuffiness is stuff I cannot stand.
"Let me out," I will demand--
You believe that you could leave
me in this muggy room?
I'll open the door and grab your hand.

---

At night, the ocean roars!
and the yellow dunegrass rustles in the dark
and if you're awake, you watch the stars.

---

I have a lot more, but I won't bother posting it unless if everyone is like "oooh! this is excellent!" which I doubt.

Pity

I pity all those who think themselves normal
I pity all those who think themselves weak
I pity all those with no emotions
I pity all those with too much emotions
I pity all those without a reason to live
I pity all those with only a reason to live
I pity all those who have never loved
I pity all those who have loved and lost
and
I pity all those who bothered to read this

At least now you know, you have my pity.
