@the ones that replied to my post: that's exactly my point. but he's one of those people who rejects the reality and substitutes his own misconceptions. he always gets insecure, and whenever i play on my guitar, or even on the pc, he would say the same damn thing over and over again: "that's for girls". but he listens to j-pop/rock, actually he really likes it (mostly songs from naruto, digimon, and sorts). but when it comes to k-on, well, he gets insecure and always mocking me.

i really like j-pop/rock, ever since i was little. the tune, the melody, the sort of thing you wanna sing but can't because you don't know the lyrics. my friend told me that i can get nothing from learning j-pop/rock songs, because i will not be able to apply it to an OPM/western influenced community. i hope that the rise of popularity of k-pop in the philippines will bring the rise of j-pop/rock.

as for my brother, ignorance may be the best solution. his allegations are not true, are they?


@Bolt237: that's great that you're in to covering songs. looking forward for it.

@deng17 and Moogie: well, i guess just be thankful that you have a guitar. i know a couple of people that would like to have a guitar, even one that's worn out. (i felt that once when i really wanted a guitar)

As for filtering out instruments... I know that you can do a sort of audio-subtraction thing with tracks to make something like this using Audacity. There are also some tutorials on removing vocals ONLY if they are centered in the song...

Very hard to filter out instrument parts, so I don't think you'd have much luck on that

You can't really filter out guitar without squashing the vocals too. I often do a high pass filter for bass, but it can also do bad things to vocals and doesn't really get all the bass either. It's more complicated for guitar.

Yeah that's what I meant... I want to sort of filter out the high parts (like guitars and vocals) so I can play around with some of the songs. Also, like the chanel you pointed me to, that would be super-useful for tabbing things that don't have official scores--it'll be a lot easier than trying to pick out instruments by ear which I've sorta been doing

Well Ichigo Parfait ga Tomaranai, Tokimeki Sugar and Honey Sweet Tea Time are all from the newest K-ON album ( Ho-Kago Tea Time II ) that was released October 27th.

And to be more specific I'm looking for just the guitar tabs but some people like putting in the tabs for bass and what not so it can be helpful for other people to.
