I don't think she has extensions. I think she probably dyed her hair a while ago and it just grew since. Leaving the ends a different color from the roots.

But this is anime, it doesn't need to be given too much thought. =P

I've yet to check out this series yet and It's rare for me to check out a series that doesn't have Romance.

So, Does this series have romance?
It doesn't have to be a prominent theme but at least a sub theme preferably.

Actually Umineko's idea of romance tends to differ radically in some places.

there is a "couple" who has some great sexual tension for most of the show (think L and Kira for death note), as well as several couples (both in formation and already married) in the show. While it's secondary, romance is present.

How often would you say humor is present in this series?

I liked Higurashi a lot because it kept a good balance between the humorous light-hearted moments and the dark macabre murder moments.

I don't paticularily like it when things get too serious.

Humor is inserted here and there. Personally the story is a bit darker than Higurashi due to the deeper psychological aspect but humor is present.

It doesnt have as much humor as Higurashi... like entire episodes dedicated to watergun fights But it has some humor I guess...

For humor: although you guys shouldn't read them until you finish EP4, if the TIPs are made into an OVA as some have predicted, then they'll have the over-the-top humor of Higurashi Rei 1 and 5. Umineko is great with humor ("Battler fall! Battler fall!" "No Maria, no Battler fall!" ) but the setting and plot doesn't leave much time for it.

Alright thank you for the answers.

I've already watched all 12 of the episodes so far so there's no point in stopping now. I'll be sure not to expect much funny-buisness in the near future.

There is humor in Umineko, too. It is present in the visual novel, but there is no time left for it in the anime version.

Huh? That would imply there isn't any, despite there is (Episode 3-1 is quite a big proof of it).
It is pretty much like Higurashi: you get an easy going "slow" start, then pouf, serious business rollercoaster.
That said, it is a bit "less" relaxing than Higu, for obvious reasons.

Hello

i'm watching Umineko and i reached epi 5 .. i wanna catch up soon so i can have a discussion with u .. but today when i was seeing the epi, at the end the witch Bernkastel appeared, i know she is from Higurashi no nakukoro ni but actually i didnt see this anime yet .. so is Umineko's story related and linked to Higurashi? or i can continue watching Umineko without any affect.

You can continue watching without any effect. It isn't even sure that Bernkastel is the same Bernkastel of Higurashi. Sure there are a lot of resemblances but there's a big debate that it might just be fanservice and nothing else.

At any rate there isn't really any connection about the two works except this one. there are some mentions and homages (like Maria wathcing "higurashi" on TV) , but nothing relevant

White Horse.

It's a silly phrase used by a few people in the game, which means that they'll come for that person like a prince (since in most fairytales you see a prince riding a white horse most times).
