Based on her appearance, one can guestimate that she is around the same age as Mikan.
THE SERIES SHOULD END WITH THE GAME ARC. xD The end of the arc in the manga is a nice place to end the anime. Just throw in a couple anime original scenes at the end and no one will notice!

re: ep23
sensei!! i just snapped! OMFG wat the FU@* was that??? i did snap after the 2nd time he fell asleep thinking it couldnt get worse. damn thats the worst so far, 10x worse than ep20 and that was the sewers. someone needs to rethink the sanity of one the story writers. as for the ep 24 preview. i wonder if lala being rathger shy is due to manga spoiler that did result in a shyier personality Spoiler:

But you have to expect a few bad apples in a 26 ep series, especially one that should have been only 13/14 eps. Last edited by Xvoki; 2008-09-06 at 16:47. |

Just to clarify so that no one gets confused and starts spreading rumours, it's 26 episodes. Not that I think you meant anything by it, but it seems all it takes is one person to say something and all of a sudden someone edits Wikipedia or something...

The show has set it up itself when it was given the green for a 26-episode series. You can only stretch so much of this already pretty-thin storyline. This show is, at best, a 12-episodes series. You know what, I think I'll put that _storyline_ in quote. "Storyline."
There.

But in all seriousness, if this series is "working as intended" in Japan then I must question their tastes... Wait...nevermind that, a section of them has already hit rock bottom with Kanokon...

Every time "storyline" is brought up in this thread, I keep wondering what series people are watching. (I feel like I've been through this only a few pages ago), storyline isn't what's important in TLR, and far from the first thing I considered. Episodic fanservice fun was its intention from the start.
Though I do agree that trimming it down to 12, (or, mostly) sharpening the quality of the anime original material would've given it a much better impression. |

Yes, I always feel like this is because a lot of people are either masochists, drama queens, or both. It's already been well-established what this show is like, but every time it "fails" in the exact same way, it's somehow newsworthy. I don't know if it's because they've all read the manga and can't seperate the fact that the anime isn't the same, or just because there's this sort of comraderie between those who enjoy bashing it whenever it fails to live up to whatever expectations they have (like this persistent expectation of a "storyline" in a "plot-of-the-week" sort of show). Nothing wrong with disliking the show or posting about it, but sometimes I do wish that people would wisen up a bit and start figuring out the pattern. Like, if you got this far and still didn't realize that this is the sort of show this was going to be... [dot dot dot]
If the Japanese market likes it, who are we to question their tastes? This is a Japanese anime made for Japan, after all, and most of us are -- shock -- not Japanese. "I'm watching this foreign show in a foreign language, and I don't like it or get the humour!" They'd have just as much right to question our tastes for watching "their" anime and expecting us to like it with our own cultural preconceptions. Of course I do think that whole line of logic is silly, but it certainly can go both ways. (For the record, though, this show is selling better than Kanokon.) |

I'll just get it over with and say it, i loved episode 23. I'm all for a bit of random, though that was completely madness together with a great history lesson. The whole episode was cleverly placed together.
