Depends what you mean by uses. We have a number of front end mirrors, some back end servers (torrent spider, etc.) and the forum. Each uses different amounts of bandwidth... and each is run by a different person so no one person has a complete picture of the bandwidth usage. It would be interesting if they all posted here with some usage statistics though

There is a publicly available site that shows the stastics for this server, as well as others. I forget where its at but I remember seeing it a really long time ago. I'd like to see it again if anyone remembers the address.

Yes, well... that we don't. AnimeSuki spends 1-3 Tb on PLAIN TEXT (well, html) and little graphics.
Note: Mb81 informed me that the 1-3 Tb count IS accurate when you look at the overal picture: Webalizer (webstats software) doesn't show everything (headers overhead, etc) |

ok, no one unless you have your own server can take "1-3 terrabytes" and make any knowledge with it. so stop pretending like "wow I know what I'm talking about when I say that's alot.
Sure it SOUNDS like alot, but who knows if it is for this situation. anwyays- what I'd like to know is, How do you guys keep up with those expenses? do you get enough donations? Fill the gap with your own pockets? Or maybe I shouldn't ask this? How much do you end up paying monthly? |

But what's more interesting is that how Scarywater can handle all peers! Animesuki can have 1-3TB bandwidth per month, how about Scarywater? Most of Animesuki's "torrent" are directed to them.
I'm really amazed as what Scarywater can do to support such a large amount of peers. Just by Naruto alone, whenever a new episode is released, you can see how much the peers is! We can't see what tracker they run on, unlike others. I guess they must have powerful servers? |
