I'm a pessimist. I have practically no sense of humor.

I honestly think the whole transforming thing is a bit unneeded, but maybe it will show itself to be useful in the future.

its more mobile, after all the person who can move his army the fastest have the biggest advantage.

The float-system really advance the potential effectiveness of the unit, he can practically out maneuver them on the battlefield.

He can simple fly from point to point, cutting the vital resistance, supply lines, etc etc.

Truly a terrifying capability.

If any real land weaponry can have the same maneuverability & speed that these KMF have, why they will be vital weapons platform for any tactical minded commander.

I know, it just seems like the jet mode makes the Knightmare mode seem rather unneeded.

Well, a jet mode isn't really as flexible as a Knightmare, especially for operations needed closer to the ground. Plus, Tristan looks to be close combat oriented so I can imagine why they would need a Knightmare instead for that >_>

Seconded.

And given the speed at which it converted to KMF mode... Wow. Huge liability on the battlefield.

But this is anime. You're supposed to stop and stare and wait for the enemy to finish doing what they're doing, and then proceed to let them attack you.

This is anime.

First time transformations are usually taken very slowly to show it off.

If you watch the opening it takes Tristan only a second to transform into robot mode.

You could treat it as a Dragoon knight. Travelling from one battlefield to the next and "dismounting" to fight and then "remounting" to head off to the next battlefield.

Does spinning the buttons on the joysticks do anything? Britannian pilots seem to do this alot.

Yeah, I never got the spinning buttons either, but thought it best not to question it.

It makes the KMF randomly dodge. Those KMFs really have great computers on them though, they automatically take into account enemy weapons fire and nearby physical obstructions like walls and ceilings. >_>

Is the Tristian a 7th gen prototype? Based on some of the scenes from the OP it looks like the Empire goes with mass producing Float packs rather than transformable frames.

As far as I've heard Kallen's new KMF is the only 8th generation so far.

That being said is anybody able to give a weapon's list of Kallen's new abilities.

The ones I know for sure are

1) Hadron Cannon in right arm
2) Flight pack
3) Radiation Wave in right arm
4) Gefjun Disturbers in back
5) Not really sure what it was that she fired at Mordred and Tristan causing them to stop

We haven't seen any Hadron canon on Guren, the attack that destroyed Guilford's Vincent was a powered up and focused Radiation Wave: it showed the same classic "bubbling" before explosion.

What she fired at Mordred and Tristan seem's to be a diffused Radiation Wave.
It was fired with the same arm and displayed the same colors.
my guess is that the diffusion is triggered by the cylinders on the wrist of the Guren's rigth arm.

Nah, it was the hadron cannon embedded in the palm, Darlton's machine showed the same "bubbling" when Lelouch blasted him with Gawain in 25.

So, is the new Guren pretty much the strongest mech in the Order now? Seriously, all those weapons it has make it a match for practically anything.

Easily, yes. Another surprising thing is just how strong Mordred is, we knew it was big but Chiba tried slashing it and it didn't even make a dent.

Plus it was left absolutly unscathed by the explosion of her Gekka altough it was still holding it.

I was expecting the Mordred to be heavily armored, so I wasn't all that surprised when it didn't get hurt at all by Chiba.

I wonder if that new Gawain is actually going to appear in the show or whether it's just some special model.
